I can't do that in bulk that way though, can I?

My user may have 50 or so word files and she wants to convert them all to separate PDFs without having to open each one individually in word.

I thought there may be a tool that would just let her bulk select all and convert them all at once.

You can do it with PowerShell. Make a simple script for the user to run.

This problem sounds familiar.
It's not a normal.dot type problem is it? Where the originator used normal.dot as their doc tempate, saved it as .dot again and it's screwing up everyone's normal.dot that reads / alters the document.

This is working on several machines now. But @romo reports that it is still hit or miss, it's not a reliable or permanent fix, but it more reliable than other attempts. It remains, as MS has stated, somewhat random.

If this is a terminal server you'll need to create a user based GPO then enable loopback processing so that a user GPO can apply to a computer.
