      @BraswellJay you don't need one with word. In Word, just export as pdf.

      I can't do that in bulk that way though, can I?

      My user may have 50 or so word files and she wants to convert them all to separate PDFs without having to open each one individually in word.

      I thought there may be a tool that would just let her bulk select all and convert them all at once.

      You can do it with PowerShell. Make a simple script for the user to run.

      Here's one resource that works:

      Creating a Static / Dynamic Stamp isn't overly difficult. But I seem to being having trouble with the script needed to prompt for data entry to complete it. I found / followed a decent YT video on the matter and after creating a basic Static Stamp, started working on the Dynamic Stamp.

      Create Dynamic Stamp

      After some initial issues with the script, I found that I had missed one symbol; that corrected Adobe was happy and moved forward. And over all, the process works as expected. Only when prompted for entry nothing is placed into the stamp and the other field are not prompted for.

      if ((event.source.forReal)&&(event.source.stampName =="#PatientTest")) { this.getField("Patient Name").value = app.response("Patient Name:"); this.getField("Date of Birth").value = app.response("Patient DOB:"); this.getField("Patient ID").value = app.response("Patient ID:"); }

      Despite the fact that it isn't working - I'm pretty satisfied with the result thus far. Back to searching why it isn't (seemingly) working.

      OP Edited also.

      Free, but not sure about open source... LibreOffice Draw works well. Inkscape is worth checking out; typically a vector graphics tool, but also has some PDF editing capabilities.

      I've used Foxit PhantomPDF across a few clients, and have had some issues with the driver just randomly experiencing issues when trying to print to PDF or to a printer. So, just a heads up. But their price is very attractive. As @JaredBusch also pointed out, PDf Element is a good alternative at a slightly lower cost than Foxit PhantomPDF (roughly $30).

      Cost is an issue? Assuming you got hosted SharePoint only I think it's $4/u/m...

      Tiny capacity, though.

      1 TB per user?

      That's ODfB. The Sharepoint storage proper is like 100MB.

      OMG, that's near useless!

      It's only for documents. Goes a long way when used as intended.

      Used as intended? That's a joke, right? Storing large PDFs should be a part of the intention. DWG files can be huge.

      webView.loadUrl("https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=" + "url of pdf file");

      That prompts any URL to open using google docs viewer which works great in chrome mobile browser.

      Is that ASP.NET code or classic ASP? Our pages are classic ASP.

      wants to validate the content in a PDF.

      Isn't the goal of Inkling to eliminate PDFs? 😁

      grr stupid requirements clients.

      FTFY.

      Maybe this? https://github.com/angelabair/SBU101

      Yeah..... it may but I'm not willing to send it over to a client if things are going to be shifty.

      I'll tell the client that they are stupid to have this requirement before compromising our integrity.

      Does the unencryption software have any problem getting started on it?

      Not started it yet, merrily working away on other things.

      So many free viewers. We used to use Solidworks eDrawings, which was great, but they don't currently support the lastest Autodesk Inventor file formats. So now we use Autodesk Inventor View. However, this software is a bit too limited for many of our users. We're trying to do away with printed drawings on the factory floor, but this means the factor floor workers need to be able to do some basic manipulation on the model in order to get a view of what they need. Inventor View is more of a simple printing tool.

      Hopefully, Adobe might come to the rescue.
