at some point TeamViewer was a complete stranger too...

And the company posted verifiable information about the company, if not the product (because closed source).

No different than ScreenConnect or Pertino or AetherStore.

I usually save as PDF in Office or use CutePDF as it works well and small footprint.

@Dashrender said in Application window is invisible after sleep:

Here's one of the comments from that thread, not in the article itself

Select the program in the task bar Hold down the Alt key and press space. The window menu should appear on the border of the screen. If it doesn’t, the window is minimized. In that case, start again. Select ‘Move’ Press any arrow key. Move the mouse to position the window. Click (only) when the position is right

This is a standard process I use almost every day when connected to a desktop via ScreenConnect when the user has multiple screens. Because I don't want all of their screens filling up my view, I only have one active to me. The above is simply a normal way to "grab" a window that is on another "monitor".

Edit: I don't use ALT+Space because remote. but you can get the same thing by hovering over the preview and right clicking..

Once you hit move you get the cross hairs arrows.. but until you hit an arrow key the window is not hooked on to the mouse.

It can be shorted down to Alt+space M right_arrow. I make it a many, many times every day. Going from 40" to 15" has that effect.

I didn't know about Alt + space until I read about it today.

I've done that move thing before, but it's been years.

and it does mention they will redirect the website to an expired page, but nothing about redirecting everything through their own servers, then onto the expected ones.

Doesn't need to, shouldn't be expected to.

You clearly stated fail2ban actions not iptables actions. They are not the same thing.

@scottalanmiller said in Fanvil possible firmware issue, non-standard port:

We've seen that kill fail2ban so that it ties up so many CPU cycles that performance drops.

That said, managing iptbales would be the admin's job. Monitoring the bans and jsut blocking entire CIDR would be a normal need.

Preemptive IP blacklisting is also a normal, intelligent thing to do. By geo, common known CIDR, etc.

There is zero reason to leave any PBX system, for a typical American SMB, open to the entire planet by default.

I have no idea what we are talking about anymore 😉

Kung Flu or Corona Virus or the astronomical costs of health related stuff... Or some combination there of.

OH is that all? we're all fooked - that's all I know.

my own opinion that no one has asked for or cares about -
The pandemic will end (end-ish) when those with co-morbidities get it and die off. Those left behind will get Covid again and again just like people get a cold or flu again and again.

I have zero expectation that a vaccine will wipe this thing out...

That said - I'll be happily wrong if we instead end up like measles and the vaccine does prevent the disease... but I certainly don't expect that to the be the case.

So with my opinion being what is it - how long do we keep things locked down, destroying the economy, etc?

YOu can actually give Full Details mailbox permissions to calendar to the Shared Mailbox either with PowerShell or Local in Outlook or Web access.

I'll admit that my user told me they couldn't - I didn't try myself... I'll if if I can remote in and give the shared mailbox access.

These seems rather bizarre that you would give permissions to the shared mailbox because it could be an end around for someone who shouldn't have permission to get them.. but meh.

@IRJ said in encrypted email options?:

Another advantage is that you control the data until they download. Which means you can set links that expire or remove content at anytime. Could the user have downloaded it, sure. However, you control the full delivery process and can actually remove access at anytime. An email will sit in their inbox forever.

Well, think of the email as having been downloaded and now they are the same. In either case, if the patient automatically downloads everything and just leaves it somewhere, it's just there forever. In both cases, you don't care.

@JaredBusch said in FreePBX call not routing:

@Dashrender if oyu are going to ignore my recommendations, then just create an any/any inbound route and point it someplace. Then you would never have had this problem.

Of course, when you tried to specifically route the DID to something later, it woudl not have worked, as it would not match and fail to the any/any route. but meh. At least you would not have been thinking of unrelated things like firewall.

I didn't ignore anything, I like your reasoning, but I had only ever setup DIDs from Skyetel one time before, and I had forgotten about that setting - but the mention of the 11 digit versus 10 reminded me of that change (your change) and I made it and life is grand.

      Thanks!
