@JaredBusch Yes, I read it, and it appeared to me to be the same issue you described. Don't shoot the messenger just because you didn't like the chosen solution. 🙄 :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

You might be using the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version.

      That's my thought as well.

If anyone is curious as to why these libraries are not in the native Fedora repository, it is due to licensing.

      https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Forbidden_items

well, I'd be more curious as to why they aren't included with FF. But as you already told me privately, it's a conflict of license types.

Yep, just because two different pieces of software are both open source, doesn't mean the licenses work together.

It seems that a number of common Add-ons or Extensions for Firefox have become 'Legacy' since the release of v55.

With this - what is everyone using for

Ad-blocks Bookmark Backup other useful tools
NoScript uBlock LastPass (Can't see anything in Show Matching Sites) Magic Actions for YouTube (Seems to not work well with the new YouTube)

@Grey said in Firefox continually crashing out in VDI:

I installed Firefox Portable and removed standard FireFox. Something between v32 and v42 changed the way that profiles are handled and they can't deal with data that's copied/imaged in the way that Personas/View handles %appdata%.

Odd. I haven't run into this yet, I'd knock on wood, but it's all fake plastic around me right now.

Roll20.net used WebRTC also. It was really gitchy when i first started my campaign back up in it. though, so we used hangouts for the voice/video.

I do not use alerts from any browser. That is nothing but an interruption. worse than a phone call IMO.

I like what it does, or tries to do. Just a little note in the corner of my screen saying that something happened. If I look away I don't even realize that it happened. but the freezing isn't tenable.
