Received a few emails from Mozilla myself, about Mozilla Thimble - sadly, only watched the videos so far, but, does look good so far. :nerd:

The acronym SOS (Secure Open Source) really isn't the best one is it?

Save Our Souls.... many people who haven't the slightest clue might immediately think that open source is dangerous and that auditing is required because of "how insecure it must be".

I'm totally for it but I'm curious as to why they couldn't come up with a better name / acronym.

@tonyshowoff said in Free to Good Home: Thunderbird:

It wasn't a bad email client overall though. It seems to me that some sort of generic web based email client akin to gmail would be neat. There are things like it, but none fully support multiple mailboxes equally like Thunderbird.

Nylas N1 is interesting and just added that feature a month or so ago.

Most of those things, like Java for an HP ILO, can be isolated to networks that are not on the Internet or are highly protected. They don't need to be on general use machines.

Like @tonyshowoff says I do not think they ever led. Firefox was good for a brief time, but I too always feel it is too slow to use.

I use Chrome or Safari as my default browser. I pop IE to test things and even more rarely I'll pop Firefox to test something.

      ?

Firefox has had a nightly build of 64bit for a few years, I've used it quite a bit, it was late 2011 or early 2012 they started doing that.
