Ya it forces it to use the legacy mmap layout which isn't vulnerable. Once you are able to reboot then you should be able to remove it.

Pretty cool that after all of these years they are still improving IO performance for parity writes.

Servers wouldn't run on custom kernels, but they would rarely have USB either. Maybe that is all that it is, no USB on servers 🙂

So no USB keyboard or mouse..... while I get out of band management, this seems drastic.
