And I just checked to make sure no new plugin has been developed. It has not.

You don't think $5,000 a year for 100 nodes is reasonable?

Not so much, no. When you consider that the assumption is that many of those nodes are $5/mo to operate. That could be nearly 10% of your entire server budget!

lol plus thats the base price with only 30 days of support and no SLA ....

Exactly. Those prices get a bit crazy. $5/year/server would make a lot more sense. There are many cases where I would pay more for Ansible than I would for the server itself!

They were located in the BIOS so an image would have no affect. The BIOS loaded the drivers even if you reimaged.

Exactly. Security requires trust. There is no means to being reasonably secure and using Lenovo. The two simply can't go together.

@RamblingBiped I have tried that many times, maybe the build was updated recently to fix this issue...

Definitely use the latest build for the best results. The installer should be running from CentOS, so the issue would likely be there.

Yes, if the just didn't mention it, I would assume that I was going to be using GIT to keep it updated. It's only because they so strongly state otherwise that I looked at the repos.

I think these are just limitations of the templates. If you use the Other install media, I don't think you have these limitations. You can also create your own templates.

That would explain why I was not aware of them. I nearly always use other media.

I'm not sure if it detects and changes based on that or not.

Is it possible those settings were set by the H310 and just migrated to the H710?

If you swapped the disks from one to the other, absolutely. Did you have to recreate the RAID arrays?

Thanks! What do you use OwnCloud for?

We run one OC system that is used for a client that has clients that need to move files to and from them from loaned hardware. It's a weird, complicated scenario. But OC works beautifully for it and has for years.

We run E10.0.700.3 at the moment (1 Server 2012 VM that runs SQL 2012, 1 Server 2012 VM that runs the E10 appserver, and 1 Server 2012 VM that runs RemoteApp for the E10 client - all on the same ESXi host) and will likely move to E10.1 in the next few months. We actually found that at sites with low internet bandwidth, RemoteApp is a little slower than when the client is installed locally. One site running a T1 told us that, and we confirmed it to be the case. It may have had to do with the nice metro interface in E10. The sites with 35/5 coax or 10/10 fiber seem to run RemoteApp about the same as installing the client locally.

I actually heard someone say at Epicor Insights 2015 that Epicor 10 ran better when installed locally on client machines connecting over site-to-site VPN. We never really had to test that theory other than at the site with a T1 that I mention here.

Makes sense. Although I am a little worried that the new pool just died all by itself. I wonder why that would happen. Will see if it happens again.

LandLine - as to your questions about VOIP or copper - I'm assuming it means the use of a traditional telephone in the home, which would include VOIP if that's tied into your typical home phone. But again, these are crazy questions that need more information before you gather any meaningful information from the data.

Yeah, but landline doesn't MEAN that. If you have a landline over VoIP, would you even know? To a normal user, a landline is a phone to their house rather than their cell phone. Maybe to IT people we would just to the POTS conclusion, but that is not what the question asks nor what non-technical people would even be able to determine.

You're right to a non-technical person Laneline means your normal home phone. I know I am using VOIP, because Cox home telephone service is VOIP converted to copper in the home.

These days, tons of people are on VoIP and have no idea. Maybe half!

It totally makes since, why manage two separate networks if you don't absolutely need to.

I think some of these old school voice guys still want a security blanket where they don't have to think about a data network. Guess I can understand to a degree but you have to keep evolving to stay relevant.

More of a "they want a job since they aren't IT guys."

Installation (to me) involves the configuration of the application in question. Word for example has to be installed because it has to be configured into the registry.

To me, installation means "registering with a database" like RPM, MSI, or DEB do. But not configuring. If you install Word but don't configure it, it is still installed but won't run until it gets credentials, for example. But we all consider it to be installed before being configured.

    I'll give you that one.
