Circling back to this, it is like I was blind or something. This happened because owncloud made it into the EPEL. It says it right there in my screenshot.

I just installed a new CentSO system and wanted to see what it tried now.

@JaredBusch yeah, but the warning about the internet connection still has the old wording, that one - the discussion isn't finished, it seems.

Not sure what the fedora/RH thing shows or what is/isn't wrong. We did drop support for Fedora but the owncloud-files.noarch package should work almost everywhere and on any version of RH/Fedora/CentOS/etc

We run one OC system that is used for a client that has clients that need to move files to and from them from loaned hardware. It's a weird, complicated scenario. But OC works beautifully for it and has for years.

So just as an added piece of information: If you are using Digital Ocean or Vultr they disable SELinux by default to make it easier for their users (not saying it's right but I read in articles that was their logic). In order to enable it you need to install selinux-policy-targeted

On reboot SELinux will be enforcing.

After finally getting some downtime at work I was able to install the Documents addon and test it out. I'm pretty sure this feature alone is going to be a major selling point for deploying OwnCloud 😄

While testing the online editing + collaboration, everything just made sense and worked without any hoops to jump through, which is definitely more than I can say for our current solution!
