Our limes and oranges are being harvested right now at the house in Leon to be taken to the hotel on the beach. Our house supplies the citrus fruits for the restaurant.
-
Heading out to the beach today, we got a second restaurant space and our creative director is on her way from Esteli to come evaluate the space and start to make a restaurant design plan for it.

Debates.... Trying to settle on how to address an issue with a fellow club member about the web site..... rather unfriendly and rude issue at that. I am rather torn on the matter and trying to decide on if I totally rip him a new one or fold my hands and walk away from the club and the hobby in general...
I've asked more than once on some issues with the site - he's never answered them. I've made the suggestion / recommendation to migrate from G-Suite now Google Workspace I believe, to a 'normal hosted site' using WordPress or Joomla!... something better than the craptastic crappile it is now. He had the comment that rather did it in for me and why this is such an issue:
"It's not difficult to ask a question. Oh - well maybe it is, I don't know."
Funny thing is,.. Verbally - including Thursday night - I've asked several time. Email - I've asked at least once (still randomly searching email).
I so very much want to reply to his in person club comment with:
"It's not difficult to ask a question. Oh - wait, it's not difficult to ask a question depending on who the question is being asked. For they have to respond. And you sir, have not done so."
He holds the registration and 'hosting' and is also the administrator to the clubs Facebook 'page'. No one can add anything to it (FB) unless he's given them administrative permissions - do I have that? No - I take care of the webpage, but have never been giving that information.
Right now I am as I said - torn - on ripping him a new one or just walking away from the club and its good people and the hobby I enjoy. The few events I assist in are the few things I look forward to during the year; Field Day in June and Hamfest in Sept...
-
@gjacobse even in ham radio politics is key. I personally gave up the hosting website duties for our club due to similar politics, though still a member much less active than I was. In a way rest of the club saw the error of their ways and have asked me to re do the site but told them no. Might be best to just drop it and let it go

Club politics. That's a hard one.
Even if you rip into him, you'll only feel good for about 10 seconds after you hit post/verbally lambaste the fool. The issue is deeper than that.Dude has his hooks deep into the club and has a lot of power (got a lot of the comms channels in his name). Revo
At this stage. you'd be fighting a loing battle. This hill is not worth dying on.
IMO:
- Best case: some club members may also speak up and "Hey, yeah... why are we doing it that way?"
- Worst case: Issue gets out of hand and causes the club to split, and eventually shuts down.
- Not quite worst case: You get labelled a trouble maker, and booted.
I find it more troubling that ONE person has so much of the prominant parts club in their name, and has the only 'set of keys'. I feel that's the issue that needs to be resolved BEFORE the hosting irritation can be sorted.
