Honestly some people shouldn't work with any kind of technology.
: "My internets down, this isn't working / That isnt working "
"Okay, Can you restart the Modem? then the Router? "

"what do you mean? I call you to fix this stuff. You can't connect in and fix it??"

"No.. You said it yourself, you dont have internet..how am I supposed to connect into your site using internet that isn't working..."

"what do we pay you for then?"

Drive out to the client if they are paying you to handle everything for them.

This isn't unrealistic... If the site is down and you believe restarting the equipment will fix it.

This is really a question of what is the customer paying for. If they are paying for you (your employer) to handle everything for them then a site call isn't unrealistic.

If they are paying for some lower level of support then go to the site and have your sales team/account rep handle getting paid for the time and travel (of course email ahead to notify).

Nice! When will FPBX 16 be released? Will it be on Asterisk 16 or the new 18?

They Dont Pay us to handle anything except their Point of Sale. Everything is handled by another company.

They pay for Over the Phone Support - That's it.
If we go on site, they have to put in writing they will pay us for the On Site Call-

5 mintues after this call, their GM called and got the internet working, then I remoted in and Fixed everything 2 minutes later.

Would have been 2.5 hours before I got to the site - and that amount of down time is not ideal for Restaurants.

@WrCombs Your work seems so odd to me, like your business acts like an MSP, but only for 1 product only.

Seems odd to not earn more money by managing everything like many MSPs.

Trust Me, I've explained to benefits of Pushing both POS and other products (such as Phones, internet, Manager Devices, etc.) and it falls on deaf ears.
I did however find another company similar to mine, but the owner is an old MCSE (i think that's what he said) holder and worked for an MSP before he started a POS business, and he does Phones, internet, manager devices, etc.. He and I have been Conversing recently

Not sure what the MCSE matters here?

Asterisk 17 is in FreePBX right now. Has been for quite a while.

holiday today for a sports match that isn't playing here this weekend.
good for those who get paid, not so good for us self employed types.

20.10 is the first version of Ubuntu Desktop to support Raspberry Pi.
RPI4 only and just the 4 & 8 GB versions.

I'm downloading it as I'm typing this.

Let's see if how smooth the desktop experience is...
