You're kidding right? Almost no business will pay for this time, where you live in comparison to where you work is on you, not the employer.
Uncle SAM also says you can't claim this mileage on your taxes either, it's simply a cost of getting to work, just like work clothes aren't normally a write off either. -

Oh yeah. The network adapter reset itself to DHCP, so I was able to finally track down its new IP and fix it. But it was kinda stressful for a bit.

oh? how does having a second one help? replication I assume would make that not overly helpful, unless you beat the replication timeframe (15 mins by default on a LAN I believe).

Awww - so you didn't DNS, you broke the host/VM itself.. got it.
