Just trying to imagine it turns my stomach. Maybe it is good, but it sure sounds awful.

It's actually really good.
Still, if I wanted to mix food with my drink I'd make a smoothie... not drop a raw egg in my coffee. One can argue milk and cereal, but I don't like that either. What I do like, is a good Muesli or Granola with Almond Milk. But, I don't consider Almond Milk a "drink".
