Excellent!

Back home after a fun weekend partying. And the kids are home now. Waiting on dinner to arrive.

Just finished writing a wiki article on how to migrate one of our Bitbucket based projects to GitLab.
I'll be moving everything over the next few days. Wanted to document the process to make sure it was truly repeatable.
Was a little complicated because I wanted to split out subfolders into separate projects. The original Git structure is horribly unwieldy today after years of use.

Had I vendor ask if we had upgraded to gigabit Ethernet yet.....
I hope he meant gigabit internet. . .
Nope...

Getting ready for another day... I miss being at home with the kids,.. but they are about to head back to school - so the house would be rather quiet -
didn't accomplish really anything over the weekend. A step backwards really - been having some very serious performance issues with the laptop - so killed Fedora and it's Win10 again - for now. trying to make sure that there isn't some hardware issue - also looking at SSD drives for it,.. WOuld drop 500GB,.. but I don't need a 1TB in the laptop really anyway. That is what the NAS is for.
Babble... Babble... Coffee coffee...

Work day starting a bit late. Dentist appointment this morning.

Dropped the son off to school this morning ( First Day of Head star!)
It's Monday. Hope you all have a good day. -
Anyone else seeing like 3x-4x the normal volume of spam lately? I logged into our filter from home yesterday, there were over 1200 emails in there... usual weekend is 200-300. Only 3 false positives out of that 1200. I guess spam season is back upon us.

Working on Dovico Software with legacy reporting application issue.
-
@rojoloco I'm not seeing anything particularly out of the norm.

Mmm, I only see yandex.com sending a lot of spam the last few days.

Ours are from many different domains, but generally the same 4 or 5 subject lines (buy rx drugs cheap, hot girls want you, etc). It's easy enough to blast them out, but the sheer volume is noteworthy.

Power out in the Nica office. But they are working on it.
-
@scottalanmiller what do they do in that office?
-
Working with AT&T on moving services between routers. They make this stuff unnecessarily complicated.

Long term, it's our core ops center. Short term, it's country coordination to prep for that, and it's our customer relationship and ticket management office.

We aren't moving people TO that location yet, until the political climate allows. So for now, it is local staff only. Hopefully that clears by April when our first staff is looking to potentially relocate internationally to be there. I'll be working there before then, but I'm less worried about complex political upheaval for myself than I'd be willing to subject staff to.
