Trying to ready for the day.... started with this making coffee....
I don't do coffee, but when I do, I never percolate.

It's how "real" coffee is done.
-
How does that method of making coffee compare to a French Press. That's what I use when I want a decent cup of coffee.
-
I can't get up early enough to use a percolater or french press.
I know the coffee is better overall, but I just need "decent".
-
I really enjoy the smell of a good strong coffee.... but I can't stand the flavour of any coffee.

Some of the 'lost ways' while some very much need to be lost, somethings should take longer.... well some....
Start to finish it was about 10 minutes for 4 cups of coffee.. so easy to do while I started other tasks for the morning.

We made it to the fruit truck this morning when he was in our street. Today he parked right in front of our house so we ran out and both a load of fruit. That will hold us for a while. That was so easy, I love stuff like this which seems to exist everywhere outside of the US and Canada.
You're home at noon. How common is that in the USA? Heck how common is that there?

It's like three minutes here for espresso.

They come around eight, too. It's super common here, since everything closes midday and everyone goes home till evening (well, late afternoon.) There is a three hour dead time in the middle of the day for lunch, coffee, naps, etc.

On my screen it never even posted. I only hit submit once and eventually just killed the window. How it posted twice, I have no idea.

We have a truck that comes by our house with fresh baked bread and locally raised meat. It's super sketchy but our neighbors buy from them once a week when they come through.

We live in an area that has a lot of Amish. They regularly come through our neighborhood, with a pull behind wagon, selling baked goods like pies and cakes. That kind of counts, right?

Like me, very common? The uncommon thing is local food availability in the US.

I've heard of this... So what? people go to work at 8, work until noon, leave until 3, then work until 7?
It seems that if this happened in the US, that people would fill that three hour time block with other chores, they wouldn't spend much of it relaxing... As we just that much more high strung here? As some might say, trying to squeeze more from life?
