Wondering is there a single backup solution that will work with XenServer & ESXi
As was said, agent based is the only option that is totally cross platform. Unitrends WILL support both but is two products under the hood. Check with @KatieUnitrends for info on what they offer for handling both.

What about restoring to a new host if it's agent based? i.e. If the server dies?
All traditional restores are agent based, so while it is not necessarily the best option, it is pretty powerful. In both cases, you need special support for restoring to disparate hardware (or platforms) so it's not the "one is great and the other is not" that you might be thinking.

I want to do a full image backup of a Linux server and restore to say a new server?
StorageCraft does an agent based imaging system by using a special block driver.

OK will have a play with Unitrends and Veeam trials with my Lab XenServer see what happens.
-
Veeam is agent only. Unitrends has both agent AND agentless for XenServer.

Don't you mean Veeam is agentless only?

I run LetsEncrypt on the proxy server in front of ownCloud. Not no ownCLoud itself.

Thought you might like this...
Using four 18650 batteries pulled for 'dead' laptop packs.
The little (uncased) board is a Yeeco 2577 DC DC Boost Converter
Charging a Baofeng HT which needs 10-12volts .
Last week I charged my iPhone off that Tomo four times before using it here,.. Ran for about 30 minutes before the battery voltage dropped to low.

Finally got GPO's applying to users, from different (trusted) forests, loggin into my PC's.

I am sitting down at my desk for the first time in 9 days after surviving a 4 state, 1900+ mile, 20 brewery, 13 winery, 1 distillery loop around Lake Michigan. I've been here for an hour and I'm ready to go back on vacation already.
