What Are You Doing Right Now

Sadly I dont' think that we have sausage sizzles in the US (or in Nicaragua.)

I just discovered that there is a site dedicated to posting the location of election day sausage sizzles, aptly labelled as the Democracy Sausage.
THAT'S SOOOOO FREAKING COOL!
I can have a sausage sizzle while voting for the parliamentary cupcake of my choosing. Bring on the next election!Politicians hand out sausage during elections where you live? I don't think I would eat it...

Zoho has a new interface. Still not sure what I think.
Oh... it looks like they took quite a few clues from Gmail. Not sure the change is for the best.
I don't know about you, and I know it's polarizing (though I don't understand why) but I really can't stand Google's email interface. I've been using Outlook since Office 95 and been a fan ever since. I have to say that Outlook's push to become more social - connecting with Facebook, etc - is disappointing, but I have to assuming that users want that.
I really don't care for any email interface right now. They are all pretty much terrible. None of them have a semblance of user friendliness.
I think Zoho was close with their previous one. It was very feature rich. I use the dashboard a lot. Hopefully this new one is far from complete because to get notes, tasks, links, the notebook, you have to click another link and have a separate page open instead of just being on the left.

I've got such a big movie library that still needs to be converted to digital... (I mean I have some VHS tapes too!)
Anybody know of a good device that will convert VHS tapes to MP4 or something and keep the closed captions in the video?

What time is it there? Seems late for breakfast.

Only recording the video input from the VHS. On the plus side, you get to watch all of the movies again.
-
You can get an analogue video card to do that.
-
Today is so slow around here compared to the rest of the week. I guess the post SpiceWorld steam has let up.

Sorry, no. Haven't done anything like that since the 1990s.

Well... crap... That means I gotta start all over again... I wonder how much duplication we have between VHS and DVDs, lol.

@johnhooks This is true. In the past, when I have done that (recorded the VHS video using various tools), the Closed Captions do not come over with the video. (Or perhaps back then, the video players simply did not have the options for CC... Couldn't hurt to try again.

@Dashrender The last card I used for that was from Happauge. It was a pretty good card. Back then, the Happauge card came wiht a copy of WinDVR, I think it was. That worked rather well. I may have to look and see how much those cards are...
New Egg has http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116065&cm_re=Happauge--15-116-065--Product
It appears to have HDMI-in as well as RCA adapters too... ~$120 bucks. Reviews say it works with Windows 10...

@johnhooks That's ok. I have lots of life altering movies... such as the Princess Bride, and Spaceballs (I just got the DVD for this one, lol)... among others.

That's because they are not part of the video but are displayed by the television.

I really need to move the Princess Bride to the top of our watch list. My wife has never seen it.

I took the leap and just starting rebuying everything on Amazon VOD so that I would not have to deal with it anymore.
