Just had an iPad decide to switch the Ethernet IP setting back to Automatic and it assigned a link-local IP (169.254.x.x) and I'm thankful I finished Network+ classes cause I recognized the IP and was able to have it fixed in 2 minutes (set back to manual and update IP address ) - feeling accomplished today so far.

One of the occasional cases when it’s not DNS. Or the five computer I had here last week where it was DHCP.

Flush and shorten the lease period…

The only gotcha was needing to uninstall and reinstall some qt5 stuff (for Musescore). All other aspects were smooth.

Doing my periodic looking at Ubiquiti's website to see all of the EdgeMax stuff people would actually use continuing to not be in stock.

Dealing with the closeness of the most recent and senseless act of violence.

Shooting in Mississippi hits close to the family,.. one of the teens killed… sad and senseless.

I've got a TON of new hardware to roll out... 10g switches, new PDUs, firewalls, servers, and storage (like 120TB usable space!). And I have to physically move all our current production to one of the new racks. And later tonight I'm going back into the studio to double up my guitar tracks and nail all the solos.

We had a full hardware failure on the node that handled ML today. But we are back up and running now 🙂

Since we had such a big night of outages anyway, we are running some big time updates.

I just noticed that a small amount of data was lost as the platform provider fell back to the previous backup.
