What Are You Doing Right Now

Fingers crossed that the water destroyed it and they can move to something else?
Yeah, it's dead.
It's a shame because they spent a lot of moolah on this thing. (It's a Yoga 11S.) It's a lot of money to be sitting in a scrap heap.
It worked for a while, then fried. I told them next time, turn it right off.
They resurrected their old laptop. I'm going to out a Samsung SSD in there, and I think they'll be fine.

I've never been all that bad with smaller screens.
I only have a problem replying to this forum.
If I have a large response to type, I do it in Notepad, then just paste it over.
-
Oh yeah, small screens (low resolution) are a problem here. Especially on Windows. I find that on Linux Mint the issue goes away on the same screen.

It's a Yoga 2 Pro that we are replacing with a $250 Chromebook to get a better computing experience.

They thought they wanted the "yoga" part of it but never really used it.
I actually recommended the $149 option on BF from DELL, but they used the old laptop.
-
Yeah, the Yoga bit is pretty worthless. That's not a slam on Lenovo, people demand the dumbest features that have no purpose. We've never figured out when to use that.

I think most people that get the Yoga, the Dells with the flip screen and the Surface pro end up not really using it for why they bought it. Windows just isn't a good tablet OS like Android/iOS.

Someone gave me a Dell Windows tablet. It is terrible.
The iPad is so much better.
-
I've yet to see a Windows tablet that I want to use.
-
We just lost power. Our final week here and we lose power again. Argh.
-
Just moved a LM 15 desktop to LM 17.2.... I hadn't done it sooner as it only has a CD drive and LM17.2 need a DVD..
Also installed Pithos for Pandora listening.. ::happydance::

Pithos is awesome.

Explain what you mean, I'm confused.
-
As much as I lose power it is still a lot less than everyone back in the Rochester area. I see the NTG offices go offline from power loss constantly.
-
For some reason, I came back to the office after a long, Belgian ale filled lunch. The entire support department is gone. There are no C-level bosses in house.... maybe RojoLoco is gonna slip away early esa dia....

This is a bad comparison. apples to oranges. There are very few tablet like apps available for Windows. This makes Windows a pretty bad choice on a Tablet form factor in my opinion.

In some ways it is apples to oranges. But when both are sold as tablets and you compare them based on how they are marketed, one is awesome and one is awful.
-
The Dell Windows Tablet it HORRIBLE!! Even when you are just comparing to the ipad for power consumption and usability is still fails miserably.
-
I wish there was a great option for a windows tablet that you could compare to the ipad just on some basics but alas there is not.
