It should pop up and prompt you for a username & password, but as @scottalanmiller mentioned, these should exist on the Nextcloud server.

Are you able to actually access the data when you enter your username & password when it asks?

Attempting to install Office 2013 using www.office.com/setup but that requires you to have the microsoft account info of the user. Is there a way for me to install this without account info and plug that in later?

This is a keycard setup then? Yes you have to enter info to do the setup.

perhaps the discussion of HA should always be left at the door unless the OP specifically says something to the effect of - this was supposed to be an HA solution, why is it not -

Perhaps. Often someone says something that leads us to believe that there might have been a reason for HA. But this is a case where just nothing suggests it. Not even the lack of panic or concern once things were down. They really seemed to have no care that things were down - which is fine, their design suggests that.

In this case, with @wirestyle22 not having been there, he too would have to decide how the system should be viewed. But he needs the information to take back to management "Oh, you thought that this would be HA? THat's odd as it is designed exactly the opposite of that in every way and all of the policies and procedures go against that as well. How were you expecting HA without HA processes, staffing, technology, design or setup? What led you to believe something so contrary would achieve HA?"

What about your normal phone system? Most PBX do video calling naturally. This can be a really handy way for internal calls.

Always thought they could only do voice, I am going to have to test this.

FreePBX and any Asterisk based system does full video by default. It's pretty slick. You can use video phones without any special configuration at all.

Season 2 was the best, IMO.

It's pretty hit or miss, but has some of the funniest scenes I've seen in a long time here and there.

This past season (Season 3) had probably the craziest thing I have ever seen on TV.

I enforce small email quotas more to force people to clean up their shit than because I'm worried about the size on the server. But perhaps I shouldn't even worry about that.

I lean towards "don't worry about it" most of the time. But if quotas exist to force people to clean up, that rules out PSTs as that bypasses the cleanup requirement and, in fact, makes it far worse.

the only people who have PSTs in my environment are those that don't have quotas (management). The PSTs are mostly for archiving, but a few people still live and die by that old data. I should just reimport it and forget about it.

On a related note, one of the best tools for cable labeling I've ever used. It has a mode to specifically print labels for cables that you wrap around and it is really slick. Runs on batteries too.

I did. I'm going to move the fax today to see if its the line or the fax machine.

Of course now JB is going to come in here and blast me for saying shit about Hyper-V, but I don't care, that fact that you have to jump around to multiple tools to get the job done compared to a single application for the other two (never tried KVM) just makes it a non starter for me.

The only thing that makes it usable for me at all if familiarity of Windows, so while I dislike the multiple MMCs, I do fully understand it and can support it, where I'm still learning a LOT for XS.

You do not manage XS with a single GUI from withing XS either. You use an add on product. You can get add on products for Hyper-V also.

I only bash you for saying false things.

I really like the Epson Powerlite 570 line of projectors. They are a little bit more expensive than a comparable unit, but that is because they come with the mounting kit, and it is an excellent, well engineered mount. We were able to forego pull down screens because we had whiteboards in all the classrooms and because of the angle these could project on whiteboards without glare.

@wirestyle22 said in How Do You Teach Everything in IT?: Too expensive for 488GB I'm afraid :) @SeanExablox could tell you some starter prices.

@wirestyle22 it depends on how important the 488GB is to your organization. Lake Chelan Community Hospital has 1TB of medical records they need to protect from ransomware. They purchased OneBlox and with our immutable CDP they can recover from any ransomware infection.

OneBlox is $11,995 and you purchase drives at retail pricing (up to 8TB drives). We're running a promotion this month where we're giving away 72TB of storage when you purchase OneBlox...

      Thanks!
