All my clients are not able to register their connections to VOIP.MS. Anyone else having this issue?

Actually it seems Chicago7 is currently down.

So it seems that the Chicago locations were all brought down and eventually failed over to the Toronto locations.

Has anyone had to do something like this? With the recent PrintNightmare vulnerability, we're obviously patching our systems, but we're also implementing some changes via GPO to force trusted print servers to be used, only.

What I am trying to sort out is a way to scan every system in a domain and see if it has a printer that is shared, specifically systems without the Printer sharing role installed (workstations, random servers etc).

This is a very rough hit for what I have, so I'm not sure if it actually would work. When I run it I'm getting a quota violation.

      Import-Module ActiveDirectory
$comp = Get-ADComputer -Filter 'ObjectClass -eq "Computer"' | select -ExpandProperty DNSHostName
      Get-Printer -ComputerName -Filter $comp | where Shared -eq $True

While this may not cover everything you are looking for, Advanced IP Scanner will show all shared folders and printers on all systems on the network.

      https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com

That shows you the device type your scanning, not the host of the printer, ie some windows system.

      I thought of it beforehand.

After you scan your network, any device with a share will have a plus next to it. If you click the plus it will expand and show all shared printers and folders for that device.

@scottalanmiller When you started using Tactical, did you guys start with a fresh MeshCentral or did you bring your existing into it?

We went with an existing MC with thousands of machines. And no issues, the integration was transparent. It works SO well.

Does Tactical share the same database at MeshCentral? I haven’t had a chance to spin up an install yet.

    • RE: MS Teams file attachments and changing primary email address

So the only way I see you can fix this is to login to the AzureAD portal and change the UPN to the original email address and then make sure the primary email address is the new updated email address. The downside is that when you want to sign into Teams, Outlook, etc. you have to use the original email address that matches the UPN even though your primary email address is different.

Can't you just leave their primary email address alone and simply assign an alias to their account?

Unfortunately no, they wanted to change their domain to something shorter.

I guess I should have said their OneDrive/Sharepoint links are broken. Similar to what is mentioned in this article.

    • MS Teams file attachments and changing primary email address

I have a client that wanted to change their primary email addresses. I am noticing now that in Teams where they have attached files, the links are not longer valid because the url points to their old primary address. If you open the link and then modify the url to their new address, the links will download the attached files. I guess my question is there a way to update the primary email address of a user without breaking all the links in Teams?

@CCWTech When you do your set-inform are you using the domain name or IP of the controller? If the domain name, maybe dns is not resolving correctly. Maybe try your inform by IP???

@syko24 It has been factory reset multiple times and not in our controller anywhere.

If I think of anything else I will let you know. Maybe just a reboot of the controller?

      @syko24 Yes.

Not sure how many sites you have setup, but is there a possibility that you accidently added it to another site in the controller? I know you mentioned the MAC did not show up when you queried it before. I had an issue while back where I was trying to adopt an old USG I had on hand and it was not showing up because I never removed it from another site.

@CCWTech - Are you seeing the USG Pro in the controller with the option to Adopt? Or are you setting the inform and it just doesn't show up in the controller?

Never shows up in the controller.

Have you tried upgrading the firmware?

I am using an edgerouter with pretty much stock settings and set with a static WAN address.

Put the AT&T device into bridge mode so that you are not double NATted. DNing almost always causes one way audio issues.

From what I've seen online there is no official bridge mode option for those AT&T router/modems. I read the part about the passthrough setting which is as close as you can get to bridge mode. The client had 5 static ips so assuming that I set their internal router to one of the statics I shouldn't have to set the passthrough on the modem???

Either way everything started working after I rebooted the vps. I kind of feel like I had a similar issue a while back. Might be something with the ISO image hosted on Vultr.

Having audio issues with a hosted FreePBX on Vultr. The client's office has Uverse which I am sure is part of the problem. I have incoming audio but no outgoing. Does AT&T block outbound RTP or is there something I need to modify on the AT&T modem/router? I am using an edgerouter with pretty much stock settings and set with a static WAN address. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Thanks
