@bigbear - Wave is great for invoicing. It seems to be their primary focus and continues to get better. However, the other features of the software seem to get ignored. It's great for personal use and small business use. For a decent size company I would probably pass at this point.

So it seems waveapps doesn't do inventory, and Xero has it built in. And it doesnt appear waveapps have integrations with any other software or an API?
I am actually going to checkout Wave for myself now though seeing as they just added recurring billing. Bummer it doesnt have any way to support invenory, unless I am missing something.
Just another thing to consider is that Wave does not have check printing. It is a request that has been completely ignored by Wave. Don't get me wrong the platform is nice but check printing is one of those things that a lot of business need in accounting software.

@minion-queen - Not sure which subscription plan you use with Xero but just wondering how many users can have access? I thought I read somewhere that all plans include unlimited users or is their pricing a per user price?

RE: Weird Excel Issue when closing saved workbook
So I believe I was able to resolve the issue. I ended up rolling back my Office updates using the method from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2770432/how-to-revert-to-an-earlier-version-of-office-2013-or-office-2016-clic . I had tried numerous versions but none seemed to work. I ended up trying Build 1707 16.0.8326.2073 and holy crap it worked.
Just another observation before I had rolled back is that Excel was using a high amount of CPU (about 45% to 50%). I have seen other people complain about CPU being high in some older versions but it was typically related to the Creators Update and not Office updates.
Anyways, thanks for all the suggestions!! I will let you guys know if this one blows up on me too.

Have you already tried booting into safe mode too?
Yes, windows safe mode as well as excel safe mode.

Kind of feel like I need to nuke and do a system reinstall. Just don't want to reinstall everything just to be right back where I'm at afterwards.

Running chkdsk /r remotely. Waiting patiently for it to come back up holding breath.
did it finish?
Yeah still a no go. It's just weird because if I click the x nothing happens. I just get the circling curser. I can still click File and Close and the document closes fine but I can't exit out of Excel without an end task.

Another thought was if there was a Windows Update that messed something up.

Weird Excel Issue when closing saved workbook
I have an issue with Excel 2016 and was wondering if anyone else has run across this yet. Basically, if I open the program and then close without saving, Excel closes fine. If I save either to the local disk or network and the go to close, in most cases the workbook closes but Excel does not. I can keep clicking on the X and it just won't close. ALT-F4 does not work either. I do not get a "Not Responding" or any other indication that there is a problem. The only way to close is to end task. It will sometimes freeze when I click Browse to open a file as well. Kind of feel like it is Windows Explorer related but I am not having issues in any other programs. MS Word does not have this issue so I'm not really sure what to think at this point.
Any suggestions???
Things I've tried:
- Quick Repair
- Full uninstall reinstall
- Disabled all addons and COMs
- Uninstalled Intel HD Graphics
- Updated MaxxWave Dell sound drivers - apparently there was an issue with OptiPlex 3040's and 3050's
- New user profile
- Excel Safemode
- Check DDE under options and then uncheck
- Disable Graphics Acceleration under options
- Disabled Antivirus
- Installed latest Windows Updates and Office Updates
- Rolled back updates to different builds of Office

RE: Yealink T4XG phones will not talk to FreePBX 14 over HTTPS
@jaredbusch said in Yealink T4XG phones will not talk to FreePBX 14 over HTTPS:
@syko24
The Endpoint Manager puts this in the basefile for Yealink phones.
So you need to manually override that, or find where that variable gets set to make it use https instead.
So I would need to select custom under Provision Server Address and enter https://pbx.domain.com:1443 ?

RE: Yealink T4XG phones will not talk to FreePBX 14 over HTTPS
@jaredbusch - Not sure if this is related but something I found interesting with my T46S phones are that when I autoprovision them using https they revert back to http. I am using option 66 and point to https://pbx.domain.com:1443. The phones provision fine but when I log into the phone the address under autoprovision is http://pbx.domain.com:83. I am using the endpoint manager module for configuration.

RE: VoIP.ms issues in Chicago Datacenter
@jaredbusch - We had issues earlier today. A few users have complained about the calls not going through or dropping throughout the day.
Question...we have been using Voip.MS for about 2 months now. I would say we have had 3 or 4 really bad days that were directly related to them. Is this pretty common with them or any other sip provider?

RE: Weird Comcast to Voip.ms issue
Issue was corrected on Comcast's side. They did not remove the number from their switches after the number was ported. Therefore anytime a Comcast number called our number it went to a busy signal.
-
RE: Weird Comcast to Voip.ms issue
@danp - Yeah I am on the line with another tech from Comcast and he said he thinks he can see the problem.
-
RE: Weird Comcast to Voip.ms issue
I even went over to a neighbor's business and made a call to the ported number from their Comcast phone number and still a busy signal.

Weird Comcast to Voip.ms issue
So I ported a phone number from Comcast to Voip.ms about 3 weeks ago. Today I noticed that when I make a phone call to that ported number from another Comcast phone number it gets a busy signal. If I call from a cell phone or from AT&T it works fine. I contacted Voip.ms and they said Comcast needs to fix something on their network. Comcast says the carrier that is holding the number needs to fix something on their side. What do you guys think?
