RE: Computer randomly crashes and shuts down!
This is an tls/ssl issue from the sounds of it. Is this some sort of machine that people remote desktop to?
Seems liek you have some software or driver issue that is causing the issue. You can run the dell system update to check for new drivers
Do you have other computers that are same make and model? -
RE: Notorious Short-seller labels Ubiquiti Networks $UBNT as FRAUD
@dustinb3403 totally untrue.

RE: Random Thread - Anything Goes
I never saw SG1 on tv when it was originally aired as I never had cable(still don't). It was like the first thing I watched when I got Netflix though. Have watched it and Atlantis a few times now. Still wish Netflix would bring back Babylon 5 on streaming, has been gone for years now there.

Equifax raises the impact of US data breach
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-41474329I think it is safe to assume if youre an adult in the US and have ever received credit at any time in your life, you are affected.

RE: Windows Phone Apocalypse Has Begun
i use a windows phone. lumia 635, windows 10 upgraded from 8 last year. I like it because i can only text, call and get email. There are no other apps for anything else, so I dont spend 95% of my time staring at a phone screen while walking down the street or eating or sleeping.

RE: Miscellaneous Tech News
@kelly I definitely have not used this to upgrade unassisted people's computers.

RE: Using a NAS for backups & Unitrends FREE
Just 1 or 2 things
Unitrends currently wont do incremental backups on Xenserver. All vm backups have to be full backups, all the time unless you use their agent, which will do full/incrmental, System State and File level backups.
Instead of backing up the vms, could you not just export them to xva then import them later?(basically a backup)
I use a NAS for my backups, though i do use iscsi disks and not nfs. -
RE: Binge Watching
@ChrisL
Yes, that show was like an extra long episode of the XFiles, I enjoyed it.
I just watched The Wire (all 5 seasons) in the last 2 weeks. Never ever had cable (still don't) so it was new to me. That was pretty good too. -
RE: Miscellaneous Tech News
@travisdh1 Nice. Might have to upgrade the 4930k in a year or two.

RE: Nintendo Switch Announced
I would never buy one, just saying people still do. Because they don't care about that stuff, or they just cant be bothered to do the math. My 300 steam games have worked for a decade, will work for another decade at least.
