Yeah a lot of people here for those kind of testing purposes would use of the fine sponsors you see, such a DigitalOcean or Vultr.

Looks like someone's mail server doesnt support the version of ssl/tls you are trying to connect with.
http://www.checktls.com/index.html - i suspect godaddy doesnt support the ssl/tls youre using(if at all), and verizon does. Perhaps they require tls/ssl connections now and if godaddy doesnt support ssl/tls, no mail can be sent between the two.
Had a similar problem at last job; we required tls/ssl for SEC reasons, couldnt send email to hotmail and a few other email providers(wasnt supported by them at the time)
But why would it work outside his office?

What error do you get when trying to browse to it?
Could it be the site is listening only on the IP address and not listening for any particular hostname?
no error. Just a default page that says "It works!" This is the default page for this server. The web server software is running, but no content has been added yet.
I did an http vuln scan and the only file it sees is index.html which is just the default page.
Time to throw out Scott's favorite word: Red Herring ?
If you only knew how many times I've seen that already today.

I use HTTPS which is a form of VPN.
Ah, that old line.
That's on the top 10 "Things SAM Says" list I maintain privately.
This thread has the magical feeling of Christmastime peace, love, and joy all over it.
I already have my submission ready.
It's a pretty box that you can throw all that insecure crap in, and then set on your curb.
Now, what will I do with my $25K?

Why do you want a GUI? What's the end goal?
I'm guessing his goal is to not have to learn CLI commands.
I'm the captain of that vessel... it's the 21st century, why in the hell would I restrict myself to needing to type letters at a computing system to make it go? Are we cavemen, dragging our knuckles toward the black screen with archaic green letters to type cryptic text commands when GUIs have existed for a couple of decades now? I thought we lived in the future.
Oh boy.
Here comes the CLI fanboys to take you away...

@BRRABill Good point. I thinks he's booting from a USB. Couldn't he rebuild on a new USB and then reintroduce the existing local storage?
I was thinking that would be a lot easier to try than migrating 14TB of data.
I am having some issues with file level restores in XO.
I figured I would start with some basic questions, and perhaps I will figure it out for myself.
Question 1:
Why can you not do a file level restore on a one-time backup? Why does it need to be a delta?

Did you drop an imaginary mike afterwards?
Knowing Scott, he did. Just in his own way.
Knowing Scott he probably had a real one in his pocket, which he pulled out, then dropped.

Phew, one by one.
Short of some fancy powershell scripting and API stuff, I'm not sure there's any other way to do it.
AKA, not a real solution.
"Yes sir, you will have to individually restore your 65,000 files. Hello? Sir?"
I guess you could just restore the really important ones while you wait for a decryption fix to be found.
I used ssls.com to but a regular certificate and it was crazy cheap, $5.
Their cheapest wildcard looks like it is $85.

I'm moving towards SSH key based authentication. I use MobaXTerm, which encrypts everything with a password, so laptop theft is not as big of a concern.
But I also have separate SSH keys per device I operate from. So if one gets compromised, I can easily remove it.
That's important. Your key should always identify the device it is used from. Never share a private key.
Yes, that is especially good to note for people just getting into this.
Makes mitigation of a lost key so much easier.

Is there any real advantage to nextcloud vs owncloud?
Is there any real reason to switch from owncloud to nextcloud?
Also will my theme modifications stay if I migrate?
Support is the reason to go with NextCloud. Unsure about theme.
Support and product development. ownCloud is the OpenOffice of the space. It seemed reasonable to stay with them, but as LibreOffice diverged more and more, OpenOffice fell into obscurity and using it was pointless. The earlier you switch, likely the easier it will be.
Is there a migration guide on here?
Not yet. I plan to do a migration this weekend though. I had to get all my ownCloud systems up to current first. That is done now.
You're going bonkers adding good stuff to ML. Awesome.

I did all the auto removes and it still did not remove.
From my Googling of the issue, it was a common problem.
Just ran into that same problem. Still showing 98% used.
I have found with newer versions of Ubuntu (16.04 and 16.10) that "apt-get autoremove" won't remove kernels, but "apt autoremove" will.
I tried everything online, and nothing worked. I had to remove them manually.
Actually, I think it was so full, it wouldn't run anything.
It was a while ago...

Ubuntu's default partitioning makes the boot partition really small. I usually go in and make it bigger when I install Ubuntu.
In the week or so since we discussed "Why CentOS and not Ubuntu" there are like 3 of these annoying types of things every day.
