      Not sure I'd want to put a production system on own cloud at all anymore given the circumstances..

      yeah I agree with this. I'm not sure it's worth spending any more time one considering the current owners are clearly upset about their monetary situation with regards to the product.

      No WMI filters are in place. Too bad we dont get 1 free support incident each year from MS just for using their stuff.

      I'm beginning to worry that there isn't a working ownCloud 9.0.x install right now. Stangely, ownCloud has been totally silent here today.

      I'm coming to the same conclusion. I found even more oddness.

      Even tho the config.php file says to use sqlite3, mysql is showing something different. Fired up mysql (MariaDB 5.5.47), and I'm looking at this:

      MariaDB [(none)]> SELECT User,Host FROM mysql.user;

      And really poor security on those oc_admin accounts that got created:

      MariaDB [(none)]> SHOW GRANTS FOR oc_admin1;

      Finally, list of all the tables in the database:

      MariaDB [owncloud]> select table_name from information_schema.tables where table_schema='owncloud';

      I'd like to know what got created. I have not tested mine upgraded install yet ofr anoything beyond "it's working" status.

      That whole interface setup is a joke! You always end up having to have both sides code specifically for the other.. so much for a GD standard!

      Trying to promote Server 2008 when the domain and forest functional level is at Windows Server 2012R2.

      Okay, this one should be obivious the functional level is at 2012R2.. therefore nothing older than 2012R2 can be a DC.

      Make a new server 2012r2 VM as a DC. Do not try to lower functional level, this a bad idea.

      I agree - don't try to lower the Functional Level. If you don't have the funds to buy a 2012 R2 server to run as a DC, check into running Linux as a DC in a Windows forest. It will be free.

      I don't believe that Samba4 can support anything later than 2008R2 functional level, though. If it does, it's very new.

      Oh - that sucks! I wonder what the hold up is? That's a whole 2 versions behind, and almost a third.

      When you say on demand do you mean someone else is sitting at the computer and needs to initiate the session for you or do you mean you can pull up the desktop whenever you want (unattended access)?

      If you just need unattended access then look at ScreenConnect's Remote Access pricing. It should be a little further down on the pricing page.

      Access Pricing
      Agents Annual Rate
      25 - $300
      100 - $600
      250 - $840
      500 - $1,260
      750 - $1,716
      1000 - $1,920

      We use LogMeIn.. seems slow. Granted I rarely use it anyway since I'm on the network/server side.

      You know, I rarely had slowness issues - though for the past year I haven't been able to do remote control from the browser, instead I have to use the installed client to connect and do remote control.

      A minor PITA after using and launching solely from the browser.

      Where is the check box? I do not see it in my 8.2.2 instance either.
      B ut I assume I would need this setting enabled before I see it.

      Are you using an extra app that is not part of ownCloud itself? What is the exact app?

      no, users access OC using a browser

      I don't mean an app for the users. i mean an app installed on ownCloud to provide the encryption.

      0_1457640037846_Capture.PNG

      Could that encryption application be what is blocking the file sharing?

      maybe, but it wont let me disable it

      That's not good. Perhaps because the content is already encrypted?

      i disabled the module in the apps menu

      I'm assuming you already have all of your referring physicians on board for their part of the cost as well?

      The third party will just be a broker for you.

      You could create direct links between your EHR and each one of your referring physicians and use HL7 to send to them.

      We have HL7 with several EHRs and labs, etc.

      We also have a HL7 with a central hub, in my case called NeHii. My patients are linked to me (not sure how, I didn't do it) and inform that comes into the hub matching at least 2 identifiers is automatically pulled by my system into my DB and sorted as desired.

      @alex.olynyk That is seriously ass-backward logic, but okee dokee.... your boss is obviously not very technical, so have fun with all that. Using a central console is the best way to do this, it will save the company time / $$$ in the future.

      It should as well, but I've never tried the appliance. I've only built it from the source.
