@thecreativeone91
Tell them you want a refund and I'll take the free resources,
Still willing to keep some junk with this company.
However if I knew demanding a refund would get me free stuff....

Not interested in free stuff from them. It's not worth my time.

early access to some cool new things... Lame.
Tell him that you'll be happy to Alpha test their products for a fee.

So, Basically the outage was almost 1 week without usability. That's a lot of time. Plus, we have to redo any work for this "CloudPro" which isn't worth it. Even for testing it's just too much trouble. I won't deal with a company that is this bad.
That's what got us. Nearly a week of downtime, a month after a day of downtime, all without a valid excuse. Then blowing away everything that we had done so we lost 20-40 hours of lab work that we have to redo. Sure, for people who didn't start using the service yet this might seem kind of trivial, but if you are really using it, even for a lab, massive downtime and randomly and intentionally taking everything away and making you start from scratch only makes sense if you are making money to do the testing and no one cares that the effort is wasted. Using this implies that you feel that your own time is worthless.
If I was making minimum wage the time lost would pay for three years or more on an enterprise cloud platform!

It's like returning a product because it is defective and getting a free, additionally defective product instead of your money back. Um..... why is that good?

That's where it would make sense. We not only returned the stuff we paid for, we returned the free stuff too. It is literally too costly to use their free stuff.

Crazy results earlier today on both of my C@C systems:
CPU %user %nice %system %iowait %steal %idle 03:10:01 PM all 0.02 0.00 0.01 0.00 0.00 99.96 03:20:01 PM all 0.02 0.00 0.02 96.19 0.00 3.78 03:30:01 PM all 0.01 0.00 0.01 99.98 0.00 0.00 03:40:01 PM all 0.01 0.00 0.01 66.89 0.00 33.09 03:50:01 PM all 0.02 0.00 0.01 0.00 0.00 99.97
Someone must have been attempting to save a 5k file.

Holy hell, I've never seen a ten minute average like that, ever!!

You literally hit thrashing there. 0% available CPU. Was that machine idle? This is epic performance fail.

FTFY
-
@scottalanmiller Yes, both boxes were completely idle at the time.
-
Looks like they fixed mine. My box is totally idle at the moment, just restored my OwnCloud instance last night.
-
@dafyre You should look at the numbers from yesterday afternoon to see if your box shows the same results as mine did.
-
@Danp I got it activated again last night at 10:45PM... IOWait was still low then... 0.03 %
-
So did anyone actually get their refund from C@C. @scottalanmiller did @ntg ?

Still waiting on my Paypal dispute to go through. In the mean time, saw this interesting exchange on Twitter: https://twitter.com/mylifethisworld/status/597246317115666432
-
Today was the last time they could respond to my paypal claim so I guess paypal will refund my money tomorrow or so as they haven't responded.
-
@thecreativeone91 Still a few days before the time is up on mine. Let us know if you receive the refund.

https://twitter.com/cloudatcost/status/597526965961101312So, they plan to eliminate all of the old plans, and they advertise SSD but then deliberately limit your IO without notifying you.
