First heard this from western radio from behind the iron curtain (yes I know technically it was non-aligned but come on), and I was enchanted:
I skipped ahead to get to the most recognisable part, I bet most Americans know it, even if they don't know they do. I think I first heard this in early 1986. Then I remember not hearing it again for a few years for some reason, maybe I missed it, but then a purely western radio station was launched in 1989 and I heard it again.
Enjoy! If you like 80s pop music, and if you don't, give it a try!

In July 1986 there was a radio station coming out of Austria, I believe, and for about a week, on repeat was the following song, 24 hours a day. The odd thing is nobody remembers this but me (probably because they didn't bother listening), but I do recall at the time being fascinated by it. Every 15 minutes it would say the time, in German.

I just want some people to get up and start dancing around their offices to EPZ's Dance Music.

It's all 70s smooth rock over here today... Little River Band, Player, Seals and Croft, etc.

Schandmaul, InExtremo, ... middleage folk rock. Quite cool when in the right mood:
