Great movie. I just introduced Laura to it last weekend.
That is some crazy timing. Not a movie I hear about people watching very often.
I watch Akira every few months myself. It's one of my all-time favorites.
I first saw it in Japanese in 1994 on a smuggled tape when there wasn't an English version yet. Someone did an in person translation for us as it went.
1995 on a at least 3rd or 4th gen copy of a VHS. I had a script on paper in to read as it played.
edit. no not 1995. I was still attending ITT (please don't kill me it was long ago), because a classmate is the one that gave ti to me. so that means 1992 or 1993.

I need to catch up on that again. It was really good.
I've been watching The Tick on Amazon Prime... it's so goofy but it's really a fun show.

watched 60 Days In the last 2 nights. can't watch that anymore I thing, dumb people, i have trouble with dumb people. plus it just doesn't grab me.

been watching the looming towers, which is pretty great.
gotta watch the final episode of preacher S3, peaky blinders S5 is out, started watching the spy. All excellent imo. -

Just watched Patriot Games with Liesl. Good time to teach her about the IRA since it is looking like the Good Friday Accords are going to be abandoned four weeks from tonight.
