I enjoyed the movie, it did remind of The Happening. I do dislike movies like this because I end up always asking myself the questions, why and how did it happen.

I've been watching it. If you ignore the police procedural part it's a halfway decent show. Apparently season 4 is going to be an R or higher rating.
It just seems like such a waste of the source material right now.

No, it's based on the vertigo comics' Lucifer comic book. Which was a spin off of Sandman.
