"no, it did it by itself. we would never do that"
*connects in - um. it's still windows10 like it should be.. but it's in the wrong user. hold on a second.
There try that

@gjacobse I'm actually getting away from using the pi for radio projects. Trying to integrate an old chromebook converted to a true linux laptop instead. Check out OH8STN's latest video even eh's going towards using a surface.

Yea - I saw that just last week. It's a little disappointing to see - and he is using the MS Surface. My biggest 'issue' is wishing to use a single voltage -12v.

Jsut realized I have been lacking in taking notes on the items that I do. Used to be really good at writing things down (I don't use onenote perfer good old paper and pen); trying to find notes on something I did back 2 years ago (pre-pandemic) and last notes I have are from 2018. Need to force myself back into teh note habbit, especiall as we're moving to a new model of zero trust/quazi lan less.

For no reason other than to to say I've done it, I've installed Ubunut server on a poor laptop to install an SDR Receiver.
Just getting started..

I like paper and pen while writing but then find them useless (mostly because I lose them.) So I have to force myself to take notes in Zoho WorkDrive or else, why bother, lol.

I'm the same with paper, although I use Google Keep Notes.

That's what stuff like Remarkable is for. That in between limbo stage. Not quite paper, not quite not paper.
-
@scottalanmiller Never heard of it to be fair. Just done a google search and does look like a nice product. and you can save to pdf etc. battery life is good as well. Have you personally used one of these?

I've been following them for a while but have not played with one. Ask @stacksofplates about how he likes it.

Hadn't seen or heard of it,.. so wasn't sure what reMarkable was... WOW that is pretty cool... but holy cow - needs to come down a little in price... maybe.
reMarkable 2 $299
marker Plus $129
Book folio $119
replacement tips $35That's an investment... but quite interesting.. Now... if I can just remember where I wrote that note..

I just got it Friday. I know two other people who have it and they convinced me it was worth it. I'll let everyone know how it is after I get to use it for a bit.

About to record a video.

While the system is still stable, thus far setting up the SDR server hasn't been successful... so starting a fresh install of Ubuntu server to clean up the mess the make/build process has created...
sigh - I'm not using a rPi - but so many guides are set up just for that platform... some of the dependencies don't seem to be available on x86

5 mins past midday on a monday. time for an early lunch.

I too prefer note taking on paper... and then have lots of tablets of paper in my office.
I see now that you haven't.
