One will be in the basement and one will ne on the second floor.
You are talking 1-wall (floor) passthrough and 30' max.
With a UAP-AC-LITE you stick it on the ceiling in the middle of the main floor.
But again, no reason to use hardware like this at home for noreason. Use consumer gear, aka Amplifi.

UAPs are known to not have a great donut shape above them, they are designed to go more downward... it's not zero up, but might not be great for the floor above them.

They work perfectly well above them. Can you backup that statement?

Only by what my associate saw with them in his deployment.. no personal experience.

More correctly, Ubiquiti optimized them to go down/out from the mounting point.
But they do work perfectly well "behind" them.
Here is Ubituiti's specs.

@WrCombs You may not need the router, you could likely just rent one from your ISP (of course it'll be a piece of crap)
Don't do this.

I'll need atleast 3 AP's one per floor (basement, Main, and Upstairs).
How big is the house. This is almsot certainly overkill.
1216 Sq Ft.
My house is almost 3x that size. I only have two APs.

On a side note, does anyone know if Ubiquiti uses Foxconn for their boards?

Nope, I would also, definitely, go with Amplifi in a green field like this. Worth every penny.

Who cares? Foxconn is one of the largest companies in the world. it would be a surprise if they did not have parts inside.

Looking to try and find a rogue AP according to a controller I manage, just looking to confirm what brand it might be.

How would the manufacturer matter? MAC address (a guess) can easily have nothing to do with manufacturer. Depends on the vendor.

No shit, just trying to find any correlation as the mac address isn't lining up with anything I can find on the equipment we manage.

If you have managed switches, just disable the network port it's connected to and wait for the phone calls to come in.

Already thought of this but this client doesn't have any managed switches.
Good ideal though

@DustinB3403 Could be a Roku or smart tv using wifi-direct for the remote. A generic smart tv I have comes up has Hon Hai which is either a foxcon offshoot or the parent company. The Roku comes up as LiteOn I think
