Super excited for next week! Short one, I took Friday and Monday off to go relax at my parent's house while they're on vacation. Then decided to take the following friday, monday & tuesday too because fishing and BBQ on the beach and relaxing with a book and a fine scotch. Sigh. Can't come soon enough.

Cool. I am touring southern Norway next week. I've never been, should be pretty cool.

Back from Atlanta, and buried under mounds of emails and forum responses to read!

Almost ready for the weekend. Only a few hours to get through.

Just had a fishy call from Credit Card Services. I asked what cards they cover, they gave me like 10 cards (different banks etc). Then they asked my expiration date to qualify me (talking to some guy in India that I can barely understand). Then they wanted me to confirm my full credit card number. Told them no and they argued... Hung up.
Stupid scam calls are getting crazy on Verzion and yes I am part of the do not call list.
-
The do not call list advertises your number.

I got a spam text message just now from jw.org!! Seriously? Thankfully I'm in Spain where texting is free and not in Morocco where each text is like a dollar!

That's why you get them. That list was hacked and leaked.
-
@scottalanmiller Send the bill to the company that sends you the text messages.

Does it need to be hacked and leaked? Because to know you can't call someone you have to see the list to know if they are there. So, AFAIK, by definition it is public.

It's not public. Only registered and approved US companies can access it. https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov/faq/entity.aspx

Ah, I see. How does it work if the people making the calls don't know not to make the calls?
