@JaredBusch I'm so sorry for making such a huge mistake in my second language. Would it make things better if I erased my post? :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Western Union totally down today. Keep getting "technical issues", then they admitted that there is something system wide and they are down for now.
-
So we had to fall back to MoneyGram, which worked, then their system went down with that bank. Dominica had to run to a SECOND MoneyGram facility for them to finish processing!

I don't agree with that logic because it's baseless as in can be said with any cert, or validation of covered material such as degrees.
Except the point here is that the cert is not for the right field and is not just useless to someone actually wanting to be in IT, but probably actually detrimental.
BUt the point was that we were discussing the cert and you responded about the material. You can't disagree with that point, it's just fact, there is no opinion portion.
-
@Obsolesce said in What Are You Doing Right Now:
Your point (not example, your example was completely bad) is only valid if the material and cert are not linked, such as to know none of the material the cert or degree is certifying one should know or be familiar with by having said cert or degree.
They are never linked, logically they cannot be. So the point is always valid. Getting a cert and learning material for a cert are quite different things unless you believe that you can learn the material while taking the cert exam itself - which is possible in theory but unrealistic.
-
@Obsolesce said in What Are You Doing Right Now:
If someone does have the A+, it's assumed they are aware of and have covered the material the cert is certifying they are competent of.
Of course. But this is both a false assumption and not relevant. What matters is the inverse being false... because someone lacks the A+ doesn't imply that they don't know the material. SInce that is false, my point has to be true.

Iām deciding if I should register or not.

I don't get your logic here... I must be coming in from another direction or something because what you are saying here makes no sense to me.
The material teaches you what you need to know to obtain the given cert... how is that not linked? You obviously cannot get an A+ cert by studying material for pottery design... it obviously has to be material the A+ covers.
