Trying to work but distracted by an excellent idea for my camping tunes box.
Hollow out my unused center speaker of a 5.1 surround system I bought ages ago. Install above, drill hole for usb cord and headphone jack to pass through the top. Install and hot snot down the batteries. What could go wrong?

Did you check what nominal dBu level that Class D amp wants? you might have to use a pre amp on your line in to get the singal to the proper level.

Giving it more thought and applying some Ohms law, I need to look at how to do it another way.

@scottalanmiller, let's put it this way...any day your manager is waiting by the door for you to come in is not usually going to be a good day. However, that remains to be seen. He uttered the four words in the word that make me cringe more than ANY other words, period. "We need to talk". Sorry, but I'm jaded from those words.
