Reading about using group policy to alter the membership of the local administrators group of a Windows device.
Local Users and Groups Preferences makes it pretty easy.

I'm removing Windows clients from the domain controller on the student network. A domain controller is not needed anymore. I will be managing Windows clients via SaltStack.

For now, I'm only using Salt to manage chocolatey packages and to send some PowerShell commands.

@nadnerb Nope, you've lost me, you'll have to dumb it down a bit.

That is downtown Chicago.
Ah, the windy city. People drive through there on their way to Wally World.

I live in the NW suburbs, but I recently picked up a client downtown. Doing some initial discovery.

Everyone has insomnia here. Liesl caught whatever stomach thing Luciana had two days ago so is sick now.

Sorry to hear that. may it pass through only once.

Heading downtown again. Made the 7:50 express train today. Totally packed compared to the 8:05 normal train.
But almost empty compared to a rush hour express train in Tokyo.
Those videos of people being pushed in? Real.

Luciana seems to be all better. Liesl had a long night, but seems perky now. She might have weathered it.
