@fuznutz04 the only app that really works with RDP and Chromebooks is
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chrome-rdp/cbkkbcmdlboombapidmoeolnmdacpkch?hl=en-US
And it has a cost of $9.99 perpetual license.

10 bucks is fine if it works well. Do you have experience with it? How is it?
-
@fuznutz04 Yes, I have experience it a lot. It is the best app for it . Though it doesn't save RDP files or run remote apps.

I think I can get the data off of this still.
BTW: This is one of the four drives out of the Dell PowerEdge Server I got from NTG HQ last year.
@art_of_shred, @Minion-Queen and @scottalanmiller are rough on drives...

One of the things I did when I needed to relax and make sure data never left the building, tearing platters out of drives. That one's even more epic than most of my failures have been. Doesn't look like there is a read/write head left on it!
-
Nope - Completely gone. There was a lot of fine dust in the can... Of all the drives I've torn down over the last thirty years,... this is the worst ... by far. I think all the platters I have (supper glued into a single stack) are still 'prestine'

Yeah, most platters I've pulled out have looked fine (tho they almost all had obvious indentations on the platter(s) when you ran a knife edge over them.)
I always wanted to melt them down in a forge.

I really want to perform Destruction by Thermite. I keep meaning to contact the local State Police office to make sure that making or having Thermite isn't illegal.... I know the Railroad companies use it to weld new track... but...

Really getting tired of no wifi or cell service.

Driving home to Omaha from the St Paul, MN yesterday was a nightmare. Traffic was horrible!!!! Toss on that several construction choke points (40+ mins to travel 2.6 miles) it was a very stressful drive home - almost no cruise control.

At least you weren't in danger of falling sleep at the wheel, I hope!

Actually for a time I was - but then I found a second wind... and it was gone - it was kinda weird.

That's the way it goes for me too. If I push through the 3 hour mark, I'll be good for 8 or 9 hours.

We had our first 9 hour trip with Emilia this summer... it was only supposed to be 6 hours but traffic was absolutely crazy. I get pretty bad around the 6 hour mark but after that 10-15 minutes I can generally do another few hours.
-
I have done 13 hours straight by myself. At about 10 hours I am ready to kill someone. But usually a small break brings back a second wind so I can finish out.
I often (about once a month) do the whole down and back to NYC which is about 5 1/2 hours one way. Then work all day and then drive back. I don't suggest it....
