The one on the tab is supposed to show your alert count. I've never seen it negative though.

Just got the call from the boss when I was about to leave the place I was having lunch.... phones are magically working again. They must have sensed the imminent threat that I pose when angry at equipment... remotely repaired by fear of the 24 oz claw hammer...

Just take the 24oz claw hammer and leave it propped up against the hardware...

Slap a sticker on the handle the says "The Solution"

Next time something breaks you can tell them you're trying to find the solution....

Ok, I'm going to teach you a new vocabulary word..... NO. It means "I'm not going to do work for you at a discount because you think I should be loyal to someone from my past". Apply liberally as needed to prevent working for less than you are actually worth. Repeat ad infinitum.

I didn't say anything about a discount, did I? 😛 If anything his price went up. He just doesn't know it yet.

@dafyre I thought your use of the phrase "for pocket change" was an indication of the rate that would be expected. My side work rates are really high now that I have a job and don't want the side work.

My side job rates have gone up in the last year due to needing the money. No sense in pricing myself out of the side jobs. Unfortunately for me, I actually really do need the work, at least for now.

We're looking at the possibility of starting a business doing this. I work really really well with this guy (we worked together at my last job). The code we'll be using is stuff that he and I originally put together.

I'm scream-typing into my keyboard at a Small business that wants to virtualize on the free version of ESXi! The OP has no backup solution in place and wants to buy a NAS for file shares. With 4 drives in the NAS, rather then using a cost effective server from xByte, and put the savings into a NAS for a backup appliance

                                            ! God !
