Quite a strong password policy you have....
-
Had a win 7 installation refusing to go on the owner's personal (old) laptop, it was giving a CD/DVD driver error... I finally realized that the USB installer was plugged into the singular USB 3.0 port (would have been bleeding edge on this 5 yr old Inspiron).... swapped the thumb drive and the mouse.... installation success, mouse won't work at all. Damn blue USB ports.

As someone who's had to explain logging on to a local user account for domain-joined laptops all too often... I've found that telling people to use .\$username instead of $computername\$username can be a bit easier to remember and might help in preventing them from having to write down the login info!

Just got home from a nice dinner with the family. It went from hot and sunny when we left to downpour by the walk home. Family is drenched.
-
I dropped off the family and I'm heading back into the storm to go to the panaderia for dessert for everyone.

@johnhooks aye, they certainly exist in cheap USB form but the quality is so poor I don't know what you could use it for
Oh, he uses it for production work.......
He had the software on a windows vista laptop, he upgraded to 7 (this was all before I got there) and it wasn't working. He asked me if I could find any info for him. I went to their site, it's all in Chinese.

Cool, I've never heard that before
-
@Dashrender Yeah .\localuser is so much simpler.
You don't have to remember the computer name. I use it constantly.
