Great! Now we know it will be coming soon to all the other providers. That's why competition is great ! ๐Ÿ™‚

I'd guess unlikely. Rackspace and Amazon have had this for years and it didn't spread. DO and Linode have load balancers, Vultr has firewall. They do different features and I've not seen too much rush to converge.

Looks interesting... I won't lie, I did expect something akin to what the IE team used to send to the Mozilla devs on a new version release of Firefox.

Could always start over and follow JB's guide. May be a bit easier.

Not a bad idea. Have a solid baseline and know what the set up is.

Doesn't Ubiquiti have something for this? There was some vendor that I looked at in the last year that had nice options and now I cannot remember who it was.

If I'm looking at $200 entry fee for just a networked temperature sensor, well, a Raspberri Pi with a $3 temp sensor and $.10 resistor looks real good.

Knowing how Ubiquiti does things, they probably drop the DIY route off the cost curve. Yep, looked at B+H Looks like you can get a temp sensor on the network for ~$96, which you'd be at or over that price just for components of a DIY kit.

Fully Automated Nagios (FAN) is probably the easiest to set up and has Centreon for the graphical configuration. It works well but it hasn't had an update in a while so it's out of date some. Still works well. If you check out my projects on my profile over on SW you will see some screenshots of my install. Nagvis is the add-on that gives the cool maps I made.

Reading the below stats is a bit, awkward to say the least it shows the information, but it's not entirely clear in my opinion. XenCenter seems to graph the disk usage more accurately at the Hypervisor level. (shown below is XO showing the Hypervisor level)

      0_1452189348096_2016-01-07_12-55-36.png

When you select a VM though you get something similar to below.

      0_1452189500086_2016-01-07_12-58-12.png

Now I personally, don't care so much about an individual VM's disk performance, I care about the host. So for me using XenCenter provides a "better" explanation of what I'm reading.

That's pretty cool. However keep in mind that in some cases, a single VM's disk performance can be hurting performance for the other VMs as well.

I have tested a few times, and it works great. This is a huge help and I don't have to worry about limits or trials. It's completely free.

It sounds like you are looking for a few different solutions.

For computer activity ... really a broad spectrum Data Loss Prevention system ... we partner with Awareness Technologies and their LinkGuard product line.

Google Apps Vault will archive and let you search/discovery all email activity. BetterCloud has some real-time monitoring capabilities, but you won't be able to look at attributes such as attachment or attachment size. Google Apps for Work has some inbound and outbound monitoring/compliance rules that can block or modify certain email traffic.

If you are looking at tracking data in Google Drive, both BetterCloud and CloudLock monitor access permissions and ownership, and can change permissions based on defined rules and policies. If you want to manage check-in/out of documents, AODocs brings you that capability.
