We need a post that lays out all the reasons why Lenovo is bad. Then we can just link to it. It comes up all the time it seems like.

There is a link to Travis' blog post but his site was down.

Yeah, I got caught in the fun domain renewal and switch dance, gr.

@jimmy_k said in Urgent: How to fix this FreePBX Repo Access Issue?:

@jimmy_k Well, I just fixed it
I modified etc/resolv.conf by putting this

      nameserver same as DNS1
      nameserver same as DNS2

That's what that script is supposed to do. If you did this, it means either you never activated the script or it is broken and will stop working again.

@emad-r said in Linux NiC Bond Question:

      Hi,

after you create linux nic bonding, do you disable the original nic adapters, so only the bond network adapter gets IP and has priority.

Cause the only way I saw activity of my nm-bond interface was when I disabled the ens33 and ens34 from getting an IP, so only the bond has it.

Or you keep all interfaces as is with the machine having 3 IPs, how then it will determine to use the bond IP and not others?

I used rr or round robin

I use only use the virtual NICs as well on Debian as well.

What exactly does the NOOBS Software do?

NOOBS sets up your choice of OS for you. It's not needed, but is handy if you don't have another computer to setup an OS.

Also, if you have these sorts of questions in the future, just make a new thread.

I have Ubuntu 18.04 and Deepin and it works great although Deeping uses a different UI.

What desktop environment are you using on ubuntu?

      Gnome

      I’ve got 18.04 with KDE.

Have you tried ubuntu Budgie 18.04?

No. I only have the one 18.04 instance.

Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 looks pretty nice.

      Seems like a good move

      https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2018/02/ubuntu-18-04-minimal-install-option

I thought they had it already, I have been using the net install for a long time in Debian and Ubuntu
      https://www.ubuntu.com/download/alternative-downloads

      Minimal Install != Net Install

Net Install is more "Minimal Download" rather than "Minimal Install"

Correct. A NetInstall is a small initial download because it installs whichever version from direct net downloads after selection.
I always use the NetInstall download for Fedora/CentOS because that is the only way to get a solid "Minimal Install".

But I also installed my full desktop from a NetInstall image.
