We have a customer with $2,500 to spend on something IT related.

They have everything they need for running their business, and are looking for something to add that is not your standard office stuff.

I've suggested telephone headsets, additional WiFi APs, some rack space for the mess Comcast just laid on a shelf.
They though about a new projector in their board room, but it will not fall under the $2,500 mark.

      Any ideas?

Dumb question, but what sort of a company says "Boy I'd really love to spend this money, it's just burning a hole in my pocket".

Seems like an odd thing for any business to say or do.

@JasGot What's their backup solution? My thought would be a NAS for backup like a Synology, or budget the money for monthly fees to B2. Definitely worth the investment.

This was my first thought as well!

Then second thought was - perhaps it's a grant, and they just need to spend it.

Big monitoring screens for things? Like a NOC, but you know, small.

I agree. Unless it's some kind of windfall, but even then, that spend needs to align to a business need / business problem to be solved.

                      Wonder why...

Also if the board room is not too big, a professional signage screen is usually better than a projector.
For instance a 75" 4K from Philips or Samsung will be sub $2K.

Larger screens such as 82", 86" will probably be on the limit budget wise.

Many of these screens has integrated media player/web browser as well so you don't really need to hook them up to a computer - if you don't want to.
