My commute is so short I hardly have time to listen to anything. One podcast lasts me the whole week I'm only 2.5 miles from the office and it takes me 5 minutes.
Is it safe to bike into your office, Nic? That'd give you some podcast listening time.

Yeah, I'll probably do that once the weather warms up a bit.

I work from home if not going to a client site, so my only walking is on a treadmill. I could listen to podcasts I guess, but I usually, relax in a community while I walk.

Grr attempted to post picture from iPad with that but it didn't.

Normally works for me from the iPhone.
-
@scottalanmiller there, post edited. must have been due to poor LTE signal at the time or something.
-
Yup, looks good now. Now to work on the lighting, lol.
-
It's a gym and I did not stop walking to take the picture. That would defeat the purpose of being on the treadmill in the first place. Though even for a unstable picture, that one is kinda crappy.
-
Hmm hahaha pretending your walking lols

Not a podcast, but usingβ
Basically, these are re-packages university lectures from inspired professors and enthusiastic about their subject.
-
Those are pretty cool. iTunes university has good stuff too.
-
@scottalanmiller iTunes U is strangely positioned. Hard to find it if not already aware of it. For instance, it is deselected from being visible on default iTunes software install. As they are more straight classroom recordings, content is less polished and takes more time to find the gems.
Overlooked mentioning the Great Courses are pricy, however have seen them at various libraries. A rather good one, getting away from I.T. and relevant at the same timeβ
- Art of Teaching: Best Practices from a Master Educator
- http://www.thegreatcourses.com/tgc/Courses/course_detail.aspx?cid=2044
- These often do have full text transcript books and an accompanying guidebook
Amazon's Audible can be a way to get them more affordablyβ
-
iTunesU is now a separate install completely which is nice but confusing.

Other ones I love are This American Life and RadioLab.
These are my favorites too. Also, if I miss CarTalk from NPR, I'll listen to the Podcast. I'm not the biggest car enthusiast, but the episodes are funny, and they don't always talk about cars
-
@KatieUnitrends oh yeah, forgot about CarTalk. I'm sad that it has ended, but there is so much of the back catalog to listen to.
-
I'm currently addicted to this:

I have two Podcasts that I regularly listen to. Not really provacative stuff but I am a huge pnp gamer so these are good ones to get ideas from.
Welcome to Nightvale (http://commonplacebooks.com/)
and
Role Playing Public Radio Actual Play (http://actualplay.roleplayingpublicradio.com/)
I sit in the car for close to an hour a day so it is nice to listen to things that get the creativity going.

I have several faith podcasts I listen to and a few talk radio shows. My commute is about 15 minutes so it can take me a whole week to listen to something like Windows Weekly.
