I need to update this a little bit. The best thing to do with windows 10 pro, is the click set up for business and domain join (even if no domain). Type in admin username. Leave password blank. Wait for install to complete. Install remote access tool. Set admin account password. Create user account. Reboot.

This is the 1903 way to get a local account when choosing personal setup vs corporate ownership of the device.

That's why you always click setup for business and then domain. So much simpler workflow.

Is this even an option on Windows 10 Home edition? I'm honestly curious (not trying to start another WTF are you doing argument).
I would've thought Microsoft would simply have eliminated the local account functionality.
