I should buy a steam controller as the PS controller (while awesome) sucks with the way it needs to be configured for Windows 10.
I went through a ton of trials and tribulations finding a gaming controller. I think both the steam controller and xbox one controller are great (I have both now). The one caveat is the team controller does take some getting used to. Both just plug in and work.
I'll caveat that. The Steam controller does just plug in and work. But to get the most out of it, and actually make it nice to use, you have to do a significant amount of customization to the control scheme per game. It's this customization that makes it an amazing controller, but it is a pain in the ass to get just right for a lot of games... especially emulation.
Yeah, the customization is very nice (although niche). That's actually why I have both. Sometimes I just want to plug the controller in and not have to deal with it.

But the good news is that with Steam Cloud and the Steam Community the game you're trying to play probably already has a control scheme/configuration available that someone else made.

I have both as well. I really prefer the Steam Controller but there are some games/emulators that I can't get it to work with correctly.

Definitely understandable. I like it too it just depends on the game I'm playing

I've got a Bluetooth PS4 controller. It works great wired or wireless (it can be used via USB while it is charging).
Any wonky config to use it with Windows?
Nope! Just install the DS4Windows before (or after) you connect it up via Bluetooth and it's magic!
I've played a few platformer games (Dusty Revenge, Dust: Elysian Tales) with it and it's great!

I've been hooked on Breath of the Wild on my Switch. A damn fine game!

I hatched a Quetzal yesterday and she'll be all grown up by the time I get home. Most likely, she'll also have eaten a complete trough worth of food so I need to fill that up before I take her out hunting and getting some XP.

Being so many hours invested in a good, but old game irked me.
I may start over... but damn does it suck.
I have a similar delimma with https://www.takproject.net/forums/index.php
What is your issue? Giving up on P99 to get into PoP? Or you mean you are working on contributing?

Nope. I like FF but not online games.

I played it for a bit. It's pretty good if you get into it. I actually switched back to WoW when my wife started playing, lol.

My baby quetzal grew up! 4 hours (ish) to hatch, and 25 hours to grow to an adult. The interactions were about 2 hours apart. Unfortunately, I only got a 35% imprint bonus since I didn't interact every 2 hours. I need to see about adjusting some server settings as I'd like to be down to a 12 hour growth rate. In any case, I now have momma, poppa and child for battle, speed and weight birds, and they're all about 370th level. Pretty wicked!

Is this like that digimon game where you had to keep the digital egg warm until it hatched, and then feed the digital animal etc?

Sort of? There's a lot more to it. There are FPS aspects, riding a tamed dino (while shooting), building a base, harvesting resources (like minecraft), exploration, and there are PvP servers if you care for that.

It's in pre-release. Put it on your steam wishlist and try it out when it's on sale. I run a server and can send you an invite.

About to do some healing on the weekly Plane of Sky raid.
