Does that commute ever get tiring or old?

If I do it more than every other week, it starts to feel bad.

Just the commute is 600 round trip.

Mileage while in St. Louis is around 150 or more depending on which family members house I crash at and home many clients I meet with.

Chicago to St. Louis is just too close to using any kind of mass transit. Airfare is too expensive and the delays are too long at airport security to make it worth it. Amtrak is absolutely stupid between the two cities. Megabus is cheap but not on my schedule. So driving is really the best choice. I really really really want a self driving car.

(and everyone else to have one too)

FTFY, a self driving car is only so beneficial, and it would be a dream if everyone had self driving cars.

This is what self driving cars need. I assume that they do already to some extent.

Driving makes total sense... even one day with a self driving vehicle. I just had not calculated the mileage and was at first thinking it was a longer trip than it is... Even at 300 miles,... i'ts pretty much a day of it going one way. That is nearly the distance from here in KY to family in VA....

And it should always be answered by the utilitarian view as related to autonomous vehicles. All other viewpoints bring in subjective morality of the observer.

@coliver This isn't the trolley problem so much as it is a reaction problem.

The discussion in this video is about how, cars have to stop, you get a snake effect, the more cars, that slow down or stop causes traffic to stop or slow for a very long time in relation to the initial person.

But the trolley problem is easily solved.

Have the car kill the fewer people. Once all cars are self driving the least loss-life is the better outcome.

                              Every time.

The video you just posted was exactly the trolley problem. Should a car kill the driver or a group of pedestrians? Not sure how that isn't the trolley problem.

Agreed for the most part from an ethical and utilitarian perspective the least amount of harm would be better.

Just got another letter from Toyota about a recall campaign regarding the
passenger airbag. Sounds like the gas cartridge can explode in some cases.

That's the third recall in, erm, 12 months?

Just thinking on how the documentation here at Mangolassi.it is better than XenServer's official documentation, and heading to lunch.

There is Xen here at my new job. It looks simple. I havent spent much time in it and already feel comfortable.
