The republican's want Trump to leave the race so they can throw some random person up there to fight against Hillary.

With about a month before the vote. That's insane, on sheer principal of the notion.

Are they paying good money for advertising? Hershey's is only ok at best.

We had this debate on here a few weeks ago I thought - Hershey's is perfect for s'mores.. better chocolate is mostly a waste.

I must've missed that thread. Keep in mind that where I'm living at the moment, food is cheap, really, really cheap.

If they simply wanted to beat Hillary, I think they'd throw their support behind the other guy in the race -- Johnson... but he's a bit of a wild card to me as well.

Yay, Monday! Glad everybody is still with us and that those affected by Matthew can hopefully start repairs now.

Had my first welding experience and built a stand for an old grill body to use as a fire pit. My first welds aren't pretty,.. but they are solid and will hold.

Rather impressed that I only burned a hole in one spot,.. and was able to (with guidance) fill it back in.

That's cool. I've done welding and brazing but I totally suck at both. What material did you weld and what kind of welding did you do?

Not sure the steel content,.. but some retired heavy duty shelving units - and gasless MIG. He also as a stick welder, but this was faster and simpler. It was commented of all the students my Father in law has had, those were some of the best first welds he has seen. He taught AG Mechanics for years, so he knows a bit about all welding..

What is gasless MIG welding? MIG = Metal Inert Gas.

                      http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/gasless-mig.htm

                      "Welding without gas
Where ordinary mild steel mig welding wire needs an inert gas shield to prevent it from oxidising when melted, gasless MIG wire has a flux core which forms the shield around the weld to keep oxygen out.

It's the flux that causes all the weld spatter in the photo and the light coloured crust (slag) on top of the weld."

My neighbors smoke detector seems to have a malfunction, keeps beeping every few minutes... Would really like to get some sleep, just past midnight here.

We have sound pollution laws in much of the US to protect against that. If you can't sleep from that, we get to call the police.

It is not the house alarm he is referring to, it is the smoke detector random beeps of low batteries.

                        Probably

                        Apt walls must be thin.

Germany: Bricks/concrete and insulation, generally 24cm to 30cm+ thick here 😉

If it is an apartment, call maintenance and have them go replace the batteries for your neighboor.

It's on the other side of the street, not the same house.

                        Open windows??

Logic? At 0:42 AM on a Sunday?

Hey, lots of people sleep with windows open.

Reading up on RSYNC as I want to "backup" some folders off a Netgear RN3200 onto a buffalo LS-WSX that will be at a remote site with limited bandwidth.
