Make sure that you post back here when you learn more. Everyone is, I imagine, pretty interested in this one.

@Dashrender Too bad it isn't Linux because you might be able to find an old distro that comes with a version that you need. Does it use it like it is embedded or can it use MySQL running on a separate system?

I don't know - I haven't made it that far yet, I've been sick the last few days. playing catchup.

If the dc5750 if causing issues, try putting Windows on the DL145 G2. Likely the proc is too old but worth a try.

I wish we had interns, I'd make them do it for sure. I don't mind the smell after opening them up on numerous occasions, repairing & cleaning or just Frankenzombificationing like in this thread: [http://mangolassi.it/topic/1022/what-are-you-doing-right-now/48](link url)

First five users are 1TB per user. Then with the sixth user it goes unlimited.

That's how they make the money. Each user needs an account. So the realistic capacity of usage is relatively limited.

Always good to check with upper management.

"Hey boss' boss, just wanted to run this by you. My boss needs me to document trivial IT tasks that the intern (that we don't have) should be able to look up without a problem and spend time and company money maintaining them so that he, not I, can repeatedly do entry level tasks without needing to get assistance from elsewhere. I'm happy to do this but this puts us at risk of the documentation being wrong since I am just making copies of the industry or vendor documentation, and because it is impossible to keep every internal doc continuously in sync with the latest vendor changes, guidelines and best practices. Just wanted to make sure that you agree that making this kind of documentation, all for one person, is a good use of government financial resources?"

Azure has its own object storage mechanism (similar to Swift in OpenStack or S3 in Amazon AWS) so to allow you to learn or test behavior they have an emulator so that you can mimic that storage locally.

@JaredBusch good idea. That will get them into bad security habits.

Neither Target nor Experian are companies entrusted with data. One is just a retailer and the other is a company that collects, often false, credit data against the will of the people. Experian's customers aren't the people and so it feels no responsibility beyond what is legally enforced which is nearly nothing.

@JaredBusch VPN speeds are in latency terms. OpenSSL produces a bit more latency than IPsec does.

@Carnival-Boy sorry about Meriaki, we've seen a lot of that. Little response, no following through on commitments. They like big customers these days, they have high overhead. I think that you will be very happy with the Ubiquiti though!

It's awesome that there is now a formal project for this and they changed the name so the "TrueCrypt is dead" people don't have to know that it is still around.

The is also a project called ch or something like that it seems from reading that forum link.
