An interface to keep pace with SSDs 🙂

M.2 is interesting not just because it can speed up storage with PCI Express lanes, but because it can use a whole bunch of different buses too; it stands to replace both mSATA and mini PCI Express

It doesn't actually look like it will be revolutionary. It seems to be more along the lines of an adapter or go between. It still uses the same buses and still has the same limitation of the technology that it is integrated into. Will be cool and usable for the mini-pc and laptop markets but I doubt it will replace SATA in the near future.

I generally check out MNJTech and PCConnection for these types of things. MNJ has been really good at having the odd one off items.

Of note with this. Only the voice pulse lines have intermittent issues calling some numbers.

Been trying to find a problem. This may be the cause.

McLeod is a third string voice provider in the grand scheme of things, but they should have plenty of interconnects to the POTS network to route that call properly. Almost everyone in VoIP buys numbers from someone else. That's why Level3 showed up for your other lines. It keeps the VoIP provider in numbers across the country and keeps Level3 in easy money.

For your problem, gotta narrow it down. IntraLATA, InterLATA? Specific exchanges or specific numbers? SIP to SIP? SIP to POTS? Cross carriers? Or the ever so fun forward to external number that happens to be international.

Yeah, all my experience has been with Windows DHCP, and you're right, configuring the DNS suffix and other options are easy as pie. On the pfSense/Linux side it's a bit...different...!

I don't have much experience with pfsense. I've played with it a little but never actually set it up and used it. YMMV

That is really nice that so many companies stepped in so quickly to remedy the situation. Kudos to them.

Maybe. But one of the main benefits I see people give for BYOD is cost savings. In your case, there is no cost savings, because the company still provides the same level of hardware and BYOD devices are just additional devices above and beyond what is already provided by the firm.

Actually in this case the costs would go up, because you would need to support an onsite guest network for those devices.

True, although most companies have that already. And technically that isn't needed, you can let people access via LTE or whatever. But that becomes pretty silly.

You have two things listed in your OP. It would probably be best to create two threads. One for moving from two split exchange domains to one, and second for the missing email question.

Dash - Not really about the two email domains, just the missing email message. I moved our primary to O365 a few months ago, I plan to move this over to it as well sometime this year....

Is it in her spam folder? Or how about a spam software installed on the Exchange server?

I checked the Junk folders but didn't find it there either. No SPAM folder was noticed, but I'll go back and check to ensure this tidbit.

This is almost always the case that she either has a rule that she doesn't remember putting in or it is marked as spam.

I did factor a rule issue,.. however the one rule she had didn't seem to merit causing the issue.

Sadly one item I failed to mention is that this appears to be a hit or miss issue. Same email can be sent - She'll either get it or not. I did explain to her that it could be a few things,.. word filter, attachment type or actual delivery.

But when the same message is sent 3 times, received 3 times, but only 1 shown.. seems odd.

No, this is whining. Wah! I've slurped your services for 10 year, why you no give me immediate service!

Opened a help ticket with Dropbox support. They said to allow 1-3 business days for response...GRR!!

Yeah, but I've been a member for close to a decade...never had an issue like this before...

No, I was just stating a fact. I'm aware of how support works...

I wasn't complaining. I know I haven't paid a penny for all that time and that my issues are way down the chain compared to their paying customers. I'm neither ignorant nor stupid. Why do you have such an issue with me Jared?

You really only choose something else if you want to scale more. The built in one is pretty limited. It's the same as using SQLite, basically. MySQL is what people use when they want something more robust.

@Carnival-Boy you hit the proverbial nail there. People always do weird things like move from fast local disks to unnecessary SANs when virtualized get and believe that SANs are fast no matter how they are configured and assume their hardware issues are virtualization problems. People also confuse consolidation with virtualization which causes even more problems.

Sounds like my last job where pretty much everything had to run on our Xiotech (now Xio) SANS...before I left that job, we had moved to their ISE models (basically, a module of permanently installed, self-healing drives)...had some major firmware issues with them which I assume have been resolved.

Only as long as it takes you to get a new phone, which while possible expensive, really shouldn't be that long.

In theory. But when you are traveling, away from home or don't live near a big city that can be quite a challenge. When you are without a phone AND your are then cut off from your computer even hours can be pretty dramatic. It makes losing your phone go from an inconvenience (one form of communication down) to a big thing (all communication down.)

    Granted.

MIS is a very specific role, not normal IT. Normally people get dedicated MIS degrees to do that.

I'd like to toy with one to control all the stuff in my apartment. Need network / wifi / whatever enabled powerbars but that's not a huge hurdle anymore.

That would be a fun project. If only I had a stable home in which to do that these days.
