    OK heard from my vendor.

They agree that the HPE website saying that iLo Essentials only supports DL380 e-series is kinda hidden and are going to see about refunding me that license.

As for the Insight Manager iLo license, they claim that it is what I need at the best price. That this license alone will allow me to run Insight Manager, and use iLo Advanced features all inclusive in this license, which seems odd as it's a less expensive license than just iLo Advanced by itself.

I'm currently downloading Insight Manger - I guess we'll see what I see.

Though I only have one server currently that I need/want to manage - running Insight Manger is overkill for one server. And, where am I suppose to run Insight Manager?

    more digging.

Can you log in to your spam filter/log and search for mail coming from that person who claims they are sending email to the correct address?

In my Barracuda SVF 300 I can see all the messages coming in that are to non-existent email addresses. In fact, I have had this problem before and had to show a department manager that they were sending it to a person who got married and since changed their last name and, of course, the email address had to be updated.

It's showing her e-mails coming it at 0 KB but all other e-mails coming from that domain are fine including secure e-mails.

Are they actually being received, or are they being rejected?

It shows the attempt. Apparently they fixed it but they didn't tell me what they did. shrug

@gjacobse I actually have plans to make my own custom cables (USB) with a mag safe break in the middle like that

With a 3d printer and some neodynium magnets, that should be "easy". I quote easy because I was doing 3d design stuff for a while.

Are you a parametric or direct modelling kind of guy?

Direct modelling. Lysdexia makes parametric way to dangerous.

There's an apt phrase that I picked up while in Africa that applies well to this. It's not broken, it's just cheap.

And if you have to, at the very least wipe the machine and start from scratch with your own image.

Now, that used to work. 🙂 Now it does not.

Running Linux as base OS and using VMware in it will somewhat reduce the space to test two or three OS in it

Don't use VMware as a term for a product, that is confusing everyone. VMware is a company that makes many products. None of which is called VMware. It would be like calling something Microsoft. It could mean a lot of things. What VMware product are you picturing using?

In what way do you picture running Linux reducing space? And if you want to run Linux to run VMs, why are you dual booting?

Very standard part of the OS. If you want to make it go away, you can disable hibernation.

That was a great, very detailed, explanation of the what, but I'm actually rather interested in the method of determining how many are needed for specific tasks. Another article, possibly?

Yeah just exclude the whole folder that they do their dev work in and that should take care of it.

Sigh - OK apparently I was adding the account in the wrong way.
    Inside Outlook
File > Account Settings > Account Settings > choose your account and click change > More settings > Advanced Tab > Add > type in the name of the account.

Instead I was adding another account at the root level, the same as my own account under
File > Account Settings > Account Settings

Here is an article I found that helped me fix it.
