Scenario: Macbook Pro + overpriced Bose wifi speaker + poor wifi reception = unhappy boss.
Proposed solution: Macbook Pro + (overpriced wifi speaker + bluetooth receiver aux) + poor wifi reception - poor wifi reception + bluetooth connection = happy(?) boss....
First of all, sorry for the poorly explained situation...
Second, I am looking for decent bluetooth receiver to auxiliary port. The Macbook pro 2016 has Bluetooth 4.2. The speaker in question is Bose SoundTouch 20 series II (without bluetooth functionality). Current setup is using Bose's OSX SoundTouch app to connect to the speaker, and play music through iTunes library... The problem is the buffering or lose connection every 30-45 minutes or so.
My goal is for my boss to play his music to his heart's content. We proposed a solution by eliminating Bose's application altogether, and go old school with bluetooth adapter instead. ** Auxiliary cable is not an option because he moves around in his often very often, and he likes to have his phone on him at all time. Same thing with Macbook Pro. So.. no cable **
I need recommendation for bluetooth receiver. I am looking for quality over price. Most receivers I found on Amazon is version 2.0 or 3.0. Some 4.0 is described as car receiver. Any thought?
