An Amazon Dot should do it. Bluetooth to it, and hardwire to the speaker.

The nearest AP is right outside his door. He's getting full blast from that AP. However, he sitting right outside production area... with around 50 other people and 4 other APs spread throughout production area.
We are not 100% sure if wifi reception is the main cause. My guess is the problem lies with Bose's application itself. Because the application has to connect to speaker while playing music through iTunes library through Bose's application.
Here's a quick diagram: Speaker > Wifi > Bose's OSX SoundTouch app > iTunes library > and back the way it came from. Because the way the application is designed SoundTouch app seems to cache iTune library's music, then play it onto the speaker. Now we have 2 factors to take into consider... the transmission from MacbookPro to Bose's wherever they store the data, and from Bose's app to wifi speaker. We do not know where is the problem, and want to eliminate Bose's application altogether.
I received one of the same Bose wifi speakers as a gift, and it is really far away from my only AP, and it has never dropped out once. I use the mobile app, but not always as it has presets. I've only used it to play local media folders a handful of times, but I've had literally zero playback issues with it.
Sounds like the macbook is the limiting factor in his current setup.

I tested with internet radio and it plays for hours without interruption, but with itunes library it struggle to keep up.

What a POS (the macbook/itunes part)! My music library will play uninterrupted across the whole house from a big, slow SATA drive.

On the speaker? I don't think mine has that option, might be a gen 1 model. On mine, you just point it to a network share.

On Bose's app. There are 2 primary options. 1st is internet radio. 2nd is add a server. In Add a service there are options to add Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, etc... and connect to NAS and Using iTunes Library.

Yeah, I guess that's the option I used. I didn't remember it being called "NAS" though, but my memory sucks sometimes. I think my brain translates that to "network folder".

I'll look into that option.
